My name is Pat Threats; I work with middle school & teens at Fort Rucker Youth Services.  I am currently in charge of TORCH CLUB, a leadership club for youth ages 11-13.

TORCH CLUB is currently working on a long-term project called 'CELLPHONES FOR SOLDIERS'.  The project requires old, unusable cellphones to be donated and recycled.  For every cellphone donation, a servicemember overseas will receive one hour of talk time on a phone card.

TORCH CLUB is asking the community for their assistance; by donating their old cellphones we can help make sure our troops have our support!  We have boxes for the cellphones located around areas on post, listed below.  Please assist TORCH CLUB and help SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!

BOX LOCATIONS:  Fort Rucker

  • Youth Services
  • Soldiers Bldg 5700
  • Picerne (on Andrews)
  • Bowling Center
  • Child Development Center

The Fort Rucker Youth Services TORCH CLUB  thank you for your participation.

This is a great program! By now, most everyone has worn out and replaced a cell phone. This is a perfect way to recycle the old product and support our troopd at the same time. Go find that old phone!
