The rumor of the police officer suicide was about Michael Taylor who use to be an officer in Ozark. He is alive and well living in Tennessee.

Is this what we call an "urban legend"? I heard and cannot remember the name.... An Alabama judge's grandson was suspected to be involved and he killed himself before an investigation was completed.

The only urban legend is that Henry Stegall and Adrian Holman faked Brantley's death and he's living in seclusion. His suicide note contained a confession, but it quickly disappeared.

Did anyone notice that Judge Steagall didn't miss a day in court after his sons death. I had to go to court a total of 21 times in two years trying to get a restraining order against my "ex" for abuse. 18 months later it was dismissed without ever going to trial. This all happened during the same time period. I noticed that the Judge never showed any signs of mourning. Also, did anyone notice that the District Attorney, Atwell was another one that didn't take any time off proir to Jennifer Atwell's untimley death. There were no signs of mourning from this person either. I personally don't think either one was in their right mind and should have been forced to take a leave of absense and take the time to grieve.

Are you sure you're not thinking of Brantley's uncle, Freddie Stegall?

It wasn't an officer who killed himself because he could't live with the guilt, it was the grandson of a former Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court.

see thats the thing. i've heard the police officer thing as well as the grandson thing. they may tie together some way but i haven't heard how.
although it could be just rumor, the good Lord knows things such as this happen every day. a good name or a responsible position doesn't make you immune from doing something mean and stupid.

stingray glad to know the DNA was tested. i think they should really address these rumors and issues. i had heard that the one person who was arrested knew facts about the case that he could not otherwise have known if not involved- and that came from a VERY VERY reliable source. but i know you've got to have proof to prosecute a case.

We HAVE followed every little inkling of any info that comes out and about, if you get my drift. I had heard this info that you speak of as well and there is NOTHING to it. We need really hard facts, all these rumors just end up wasting time but are checked out. We will solve this, one day we will receive the right call from the right person, and you know who you are, and will follow that lead or info and then it will be solved. There is SOMEONE out there that knows SOMETHING and has yet to say anything to anyone. Well now is the time to clear your conscience. Tell us so that we can get a killer or killers off the streets.

Don't hold your breath about Nancy Grace, I DID Email her about Angela.....never heard a thing. I mean, how interesting is that? A woman dissappears, she is married to a man who spent 17 yrs in prison on murders charges....and who could STILL go back, and her body is found a month later......suspicious circumstances, but Nancy didn't bite.
As much as I would like to think that everyone in the investigation is honest and upfront, I feel like someone , who I don't know, is holding back, protecting the guilty party. Just my humble opinion.
I hope they find out who killed these girls too. I've heard a couple of wild tales....found them hard to believe but...I guess anything is possible.

Hey Namom, I have sent you several emails. Do you have more than one email address? I too emailed Nancy Grace but am glad she didn't want the story, she is a pig, imo. I also emailed Greta Van Sustren and she wanted to do a story and contacted me and the family but no one wanted to go on the record. I only made contacts on behalf of the family because they wanted to reach the media. When the chance came they backed down. I made my feelings known about it and you know how mad you know who got about it, lol.

LOL "A hound with a bone" yes indeed, she is something else. You are right about that fact that this needs to be kept brought out in the news or whatever way possible. Each time it does get out we do receive some new calls. Thank you Carolyn, maybe you need to be a reserve officer for the OPD or a constable. LOL. Keep your eyes and ears opened let us know what's on your mind. I think it is very dark in the area as well and that needs looking into but you know it is the commissioners and the mayor that votes on lighting issues, right. CMOM, I can not answer that question on here but I DO believe this case WILL be solved. Yes, NAMOM, I too was disgusted to how that turned out, where the grand jury did not see fit to indict him on that case. I too think of that one everyday.
