you know the more i think about this the more strange freezing that reward money seems. it may happen but i've never heard of a reward being done this way while the crime is still unsolved and VERY VERY open.

I haven't heard of it and I too find it odd. I also find it odd that the people aren't trying to raise their own reward money to get the case solved. Granted officials stopping it is an eyebrow raiser.

Hey Carolyn, If Beth Twitty could have done what she wanted to do in Aruba,she would have had the killers..The police there,were the worst I have seen,they botched the case,all because of the laws,and they lady pros.handling the case.I admire her to the highest,she did what any good parent would do as well as her Natalees father.It's a shame that all the turmol they were going through cost Beth her marriage to Mr.Twitty,for Beth was gone alot,but shes still going at it.I hope and pray she will see the ones that killed her daughter,think shes seen them,just have to wait for proof,and maybe there ever wont be any,sure hope she and Natalees father can get justice.

y'all know SOMEBODY with law enforcement ties likely takes a peek at our forum so my suggestion to them ( and i am sure they are waiting with bated breath to please me) is to answer the occasional question- not one that jeopardizes the investigation (assuming there is one) but to let the public know that this case is still important to them!
some people think beth twitty (natalee holloway's mom) was a B**** on wheels when dealing with the Aruban authorities about her daughter but i admire her for her committment to keeping natalee's case in the news. thats what it takes to solve a case- consistent in-your-face investagation.

Thank you Donna. Spivey needs to be telling the people why the investigation isn't continuing instead of misleading them. It is believed that OPD wants the state to pay for the investigation but they don't want the state in charge of the investigation.

Crime scene photos...I haven't seen them myself, and I haven't had any contact with the guy who has them, but I know people who HAVE seen the photos and video. Best I can tell, this guy was somehow connected with the defense lawyer, and as a part of the legal process (disclosure), the prosecution was required to give the defense EVERYTHING they had. That included the crime scene photos, video, even tips and emails that were given to police. I'm not sure whether the defense lawyer was required to observe strict secrecy or not. But it's something that I've heard from multiple sources, people who don't know each other, that AT LEAST two sets of the photos made it out into the public, and were shown to people who weren't connected with the prosecution or defense teams. I shudder to think about it, but I wonder whether disclosure included the autopsy videos? That's something that NOBODY should see.

This to me is the most horrific thing I have ever heard of. How did anyone other than the police,dist attorney,and defense lawyers get ghold of crime scene photos.If this is true,then I feel an investagation should be held to see how these ppl got the pictures.Horrible. Even if it were disclosure,that ment to lawyers,ppl in law..not people on the street.

I am truly sorry that the girls were killed unhumane.. BUt i think the post by Veritas has become very ludicrous as it seems to me that they only was a spot light on there racist religion.. *grin* Hi there, Stingray! Been drivin' my life away, as the old song goes. I moved to the Selma area (some racist I am, huh, moving into the heart of the Black Belt??? Black neighbors on three sides, by the way! *wink*) about three years ago and I've been working on my mom's old place ever since, clearing land and putting in a well and septic tank and all the amenities. Unfortunately, the company I was working for has "gone mexican", so I wound up on the big road again. More money, but dang, those weeds grow so FAST!!!! I go home and have to spend half a day just taking ground back from the jungle!!! Ground that I'd already cleared!!! But that's life in these changin' times, I guess. Good news is, I cleared it with dispatch....she promises me she will have me back in Dothan on August 31st.
