rent a cop "honey" that little rumor did NOT start in prison. That little rumor was repeated to some of us nurses by a doctor here in our fair city waaaaaayyyyyyy before the black guy was ever named...like waaaayyyy back when he was putting his sh** in the moving van.

sorry for the family b/c you can't pick your relatives but don't defend him to me- i witnessed first hand his temper and his disdain for the poor. ask someone why he left samc for flowers before he left the state.

there was a phrase about little "tomato pickers" among many others....

as for my friend M- i guess you were hiding in his back pocket that night so you "know" what happened. i find it amusing that anyone would believe that a doc would go to a patients house on such a mission. please....

i was one of the students who was almost hit with some bloody forceps in a delivery room by him. i witnessed the different demeanor he used between the poor and not poor i.e the BCBS crowed vs medicaid. i was there, a fellow student, a nursing instructor and a full freaking staff. we saw way more than i am even alluding to.

if the black guy did it, and since the dna says he did i reckon it is true----he's gonna die. end of that story.

Carolyn, Honey, I just saw a couple of your entries about the Mitchell matter and had to respond out of respect for the doc's family.  First of all, if you can believe anything someone on death row writes in a "pen pals from prison" type blog, you should at least take the time to do a little research on your own.  The things written about the doctor are totally false, and I know this for a fact.  Not only that, this doctor has relatives still living in the area that have to live with gossip and innuendo such as yours on a constant basis.  Do you think his children would be affected by this?  You should think about other people's feelings before you repeat "rumor".  And FYI, your "friend" you spoke of, openly flirted with him and INVITED him over to her home on the premise of discussing a medical issue with her then boyfriend.  Her plan didn't work, so she turned it around to make it look like something sinister.  I know this for a fact as well, so please cast your stones someplace else and leave his innocent children and former wife out of it.  They are WONDERFUL people and have harmed NO ONE.  Artez Hammonds got what he deserved and there is no "secret witness" refusing to testify in order to free Artez Hammonds, despite what you hear within the company you keep.  Don't repeat rumors.  It just HURTS innocents.  But obviously you don't care about that.  AH was a crazy psychopath who, ALONE, raped and murdered a beautiful girl who did not deserve to die.  That's the end of the story.

the only doc i ever had a thing for was ed teitel- bald, pudgey and arrogant as hell. the thing we had for each other was nothing so juicey- it was mutual respect.
