It's OK cmom, calm down.... You've all known something was wrong within OPD for some years now... I shook the tree today and you can see who fell from the very first shake, the one who was there when the problems began.... We do have the hope that OPD will be following up on all of this. |

LOL, you all calm down.... The moderator wasn't picking on me. Slander is a funny threat for someone to make and I don't blame the moderator one bit. Someone who works within and or for the public eye aren't protected by slander and libel laws like the ordinary citizen is. Bad teachers, bad cops, bad mailmen, politicians.... If you serve the public you can be held publically accountable for what happens on your watch and the laws will protect the citizens who seek accountability if it can be shown newsworthy and I can show it is newsworthy!
The cops (former or not) and the private investigators posting here have demonstrated corruption and a double standard as well as broken some laws that they knew they were breaking.... I expected something to come of my post and I am not disappointed.... You now have seen for yourselves who the problem has been. Keep shaking the tree is all I can tell you but don't be mad at Jason or Leah, they are good people!!!! |

It is amazing how much you can get accomplished just by knowing the right people. I am very surprised Venus was scolded. I feel like saying "what eh veh" talk to the hand cause the ears ain't listening. |

jason and leah do a good job with this board. if somebody in or with ties to officials asked them to have us tone it down then we have to respect their request so venus you were quite gracious.
guys just remember b/c you are silenced on any issue doesn't mean that you have to change your opinion. |

About the guy who hugged JB in Headland...as far as I know, nobody witnessed him hugging JB. Hugging her was part of his story, as related to me by mutual friends.
Yes, he was interviewed, and quite thoroughly from what I heard. Far as I know, he was the last person (who actually knew the girls) to see them. I never met the guy, as far as I know, but he was very well liked by the Headland "in-crowd" and that's saying something...the young people in Headland (back then) were some wild party animals, but they didn't tolerate habitual liars, thieves, sneaks, etc...
I doubt very seriously that he knows anything more than he told OPD... |

venus I'm sorry if you feel threatened I mean you nor anyone else any harm. I am doing my best to give out what info and theories I have rattiling around in my head to get a new light shone on this whole thing. And it sad but I believe in my heart this case will probably never be solved because the right people don't want it solved. But we can try to shed light on them and maybe the powers that be will quit playing games and do something right. |

Ok I will say this I do have alot of answeres that I have not given in some cases I can't answer the question as it is given for legal reasons but I will answer what I can and I am always looking for a different answer for the questions that I have. And venus I'm not the one fishing here your the one living on an island fishing all the time. And just for the record I don't sell cars but you know I do find it funny that the former deputy cheif works there and the city of ozark just bought two or three cars from there tony spivey is sure driving a nice new grand marquis with advertisement on the trunk lid. Think about that for a min. How do you like my font now?? |

we should not lose sight of the fact that these girls can' demand justice for themselves and we should all, as a community and as human beings accept no less than every avenue be explored to solve the case. police work psychics, whatever. this is my neighborhood. i live a mere few blocks from herring. i've seen this neighborhood go straight to hell over the past few years. these murders, the buttholes that are selling drugs to our kids, the vandalism; i am just sick of it. i am not just going to stand by and have a "can't help it" attitude. if some gentle prodding of law enforcement will get any of these problems resolved i can bitch till the fat lady sings....but i promise, i will refrain from any slander. can't afford a lawyer and i doubt that those southern law folks that helped mr spellman would be interested in me.  |

Whew!!! Go to work and everything blows up. I wanted to apologize to the moderators.  I didn't like the way Venus was attacked by some of the posters. I realize that you did the right thing for your forum. I was reacting on personal feelings instead of from a legal standpoint. I guess names should be left out.
There are a lot of sensitive things going on here. Emotions are high. I do lean toward the crime scene being botched. I have often felt, that most not all , law enforcement need more training than what they get. I have had several friends and relatives that are in law enforcement and for the type of things they have to do I think training is lacking. Maybe I don't know what I am talking about, but if I was in charge and had two young girls murdered under my watch I would be trying to get all the qualified help I could find. I don't think that is what happened on this case. I think it was a power struggle. OPD or top dogs of OPS wanted to come out on top. I keep hoping that in the future OPD and DCSD will unite and respect each other. Why the seperation? Isn't Ozark a part of Dale County. Yes, it is. We have a fine sheriff that wants the best for this county. This crime needs to be solved. Hopefully, the case was not so botched that EXPERIENCED investigators can solve it with everyone's help. I keep praying the murderer will turn himself in. Anything is possible with God's intervention. |

Well I believe that you may be fishing here, but I'll bite and admit that I flagged the post in question. And I support the sites decision to delete the offending entry. But that is the only part I played in "laying down the law". This posting was very direct, vicious, and aimed at a person by NAME. Had there been NO name it would have been different situation.
It was in fact the second time I've flagged someone on here. Once long ago, DD got way out of line and I flagged him. This posting called ALL site users (not just those he was flaming) a--holes.
