"Somewhere, Scooter Libby must be scratching his head. He was indicted and convicted simply because his recall of when a meeting occurred differed from others. He didn't lie about a gun-running operation that led to the deaths of two American agents and at least 200 Mexicans. But Attorney General Eric Holder did, according to memos obtained by CBS News and Fox News. They show Holder lied to Congress on May 2, 2011, when he was asked about when he knew about the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives' Fast and Furious gun-running operation. He told House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa he was 'not sure of the exact date, but I probably learned about Fast and Furious over the last few weeks.' Holder learned of the operation as early as July 2010 in a memo from the director of the National Drug Intelligence Center informing him of an operation run by the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force out of the Phoenix ATF office, under which 'straw purchasers are responsible for the purchase of 1,500 firearms that were then supplied to Mexican drug cartels.' ... Holder, quite simply, has lied to Congress, although the defense now being offered is he didn't understand Issa's question, doesn't read all the memos sent to him or was otherwise out of the loop. It is perhaps the first time incompetence has been offered as a defense to possible charges of criminality. ... As Issa told radio talk show host Laura Ingraham last month: 'We have a paper trail of so many people knowing that the only way the attorney general didn't know is he made sure he didn't want to know. ... But if you don't want to know something of this sort, then you shouldn't have the job he has.' We'd go a step further. Baseball star Roger Clemens was equally vehement when he told a House committee in 2008: 'Let me be clear. I have never taken steroids or HGH.' Clemens was indicted for lying to Congress. The same should go for Eric Holder." --

| Our borders must be protected! Our Country's sovereignty must be protected! The United States of America is being dilluted and weakened from within by people pouring over our borders. They are many. ...and everywhere. It is not just the big "sactuary" cities and border areas that are being affected. All you have to do is look around you. Take a drive to Level Plains...right here in Dale County. There are two or three trailer parks there that are just packed full of "undocumented" people. There is no easy solution to this problem. Are we past the point of no return? What is the answer? |

This country must protect itself at its borders! Our Nation's survival depends on the rule of law, ethics and decency. Our borders must be maintained proper. We must also protect ourselves from the attack from within. Many currently in powerful political and appointed positions are focused on "fundamental change" -- sound familiar? Everyone must do their part to save this Great Country we love. Go VOTE at every opportunity with the knowledge of exactly who and what you are voting for! If you think The United States of America is not that great, or the changes taking place are no big deal, take a trip. Take a trip anywhere out of this Country. You will return more patriotic, surely. |

Has anyone stopped to consider that we might come closer to balancing the budget if all of us simply tried to live up to the Ten Commandments and by the Golden Rule? Nope... it's all about social justice, entitlements, political correctness, control, power, greed and corruption. Now, let's throw in a little Sharia Law. Sure... we're a Muslim Nation. Aren't we? So, says Mr. Obama.

Justice has yet to assign an entity or individual with clear responsibility for oversight or management of WMD response; it has not catalogued its resources in terms of either personnel or equipment; it does not have written plans or checklists in case of a WMD attack. A deputy assistant attorney general for policy and planning is quoted as saying 'it is not clear' who in the department is responsible for handling WMD response. Workers interviewed said the department's operational response program 'lacks leadership and oversight.' An unidentified Justice Department official was quoted: 'We are totally unprepared.' He added. 'Right now, being totally effective would never happen. Everybody would be winging it.' | Gun owners might not feel besieged right now, but they should be very concerned. Recently the Obama administration announced its support for the UN Small Arms Treaty. This treaty poses real risks for freedom and safety in the United States as well as the rest of the world. According to the U.N., guns used in armed conflicts cause 300,000 deaths worldwide every year. Their proposed solution is a simple one. Keep rebels from getting guns by requiring that countries 'prevent, combat and eradicate' what those countries define as 'the illicit trade in small arms.' The UN's solution isn't too surprising when one looks at the long list of notorious totalitarian regimes, such as Syria, Cuba, Rwanda, Vietnam, Zimbabwe, and Sierra Leone, which support these 'reforms.' But not all insurgencies are 'bad.' To ban providing guns to rebels in totalitarian countries is like arguing that there is never anything such as a just war. ... Political scientist Rudy Rummel estimates that 262 million people were murdered by their own government during the last century -- that is 2.6 million per year. This includes genocide, the murder of people for political reasons, and mass murder. Even if all 300,000 deaths from armed conflicts can be blamed on the small arms trade, an obviously false claim, people have much more to worry about from their governments. ... | Weasel, at the very least, it shouldn't be taken lightly. Anytime polticians are doing something for the good of people, the people end up getting screwed. In fact if you listen closly they arn't worried about their guns just ours! |

'My friend' speaks volumes. Kagan has never been a judge, so we have no written opinions or dissents upon which the Senate -- or the American people -- can judge her suitability to serve as one of the nine most powerful judges in the country. ... Before Obama made her his solicitor general, Kagan was Bill Clinton's associate White House counsel and served on his Domestic Policy Council. Clinton nominated her to the D.C. Circuit near the end of his second term, but the then-Republican majority in the Senate refused to act on that and other nominations. Moreover, it was Lawrence Summers, Clinton-Obama economic bigwig and then-Harvard president, who in 2003 was responsible for Kagan becoming dean of Harvard Law School -- another political appointment. Kagan clerked for Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall and for Abner Mikva, the Carter-appointed D.C. Circuit judge, a former Democratic Chicago congressman, a Clinton White House counsel and an Obama legal adviser. It's noteworthy that after Kagan's ill-fated Clinton court nomination, Chicago Law wouldn't let her come back to its faculty, gleaning that she'd just be waiting for her next plum political job. Even the New York Times, which would undoubtedly be happy with a Justice Kagan, is grousing that 'whether by ambitious design or by habit of mind, Ms. Kagan has spent decades carefully husbanding her thoughts and shielding her philosophy from view.' Put it all together and this looks like an ambitious radical stealthily, and for many years, grooming herself for the pinnacle of judicial power. ... With the Supreme Court likely to scrutinize the constitutionality of ObamaCare and other recent Washington power grabs, Elena Kagan is another liberal elitist sure to give her stamp of approval. Instead, our national establishments deliberately allow the crisis to grow and fester, ignoring public unrest and amusing themselves by damning anyone's attempt to deal with the problem they fear to address. Jan Brewer, a Republican, signed a tough new law designed to crack down on the flood of illegal immigration in the state and the violence and mayhem that has accompanied it. Political mayhem is the price of the law's enactment. Stepped-up enforcement of the border in California and Texas has funneled much of the illegal alien traffic and cross-border smuggling through Arizona. A sharp increase in crime has resulted, with Phoenix now being the kidnap capital of the United States. Ranchers near the border live under a state of siege, but demands that the federal government take aggressive remedial action have been unavailing. The recent murder of Rob Krentz, a kind-hearted rancher who often assisted desperate immigrants abused and abandoned by their "coyote" guides, prompted widespread outrage at the federal government's fundamental failure to protect its citizens against a dangerous foreign invasion. The race-baiting grievance mongers wasted no time in denouncing the law. Vandals smeared refried beans in the shape of a swastika on the Arizona Capitol building (which we find to be an incredibly strange mixed message). Some leftist church leaders denounced the law as "hateful." Race hustler Jesse Jackson called it "terrorism." Calling it "stupid," "an embarrassment" and "racist," Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik (Tucson) said he would refuse to enforce it. Latino activist and far-left Congressman Raul Grijalva (D-AZ) called for a boycott of his own state, saying, "I support some very targeted economic sanctions on the state of Arizona. We will be asking national organizations -- civil, religious, political -- not to have conferences and conventions in the state of Arizona. There has to be an economic consequence to this action and to this legislation." We're sure Arizona's 2.3 million unemployed will thank Grijalva for his principled stand. Meanwhile, in a stunning display of hypocrisy, the government of Mexico issued a travel advisory and expressed concern about the rights of its citizens in the United States. Of course, Mexico plays by much more stringent rules when dealing with its own immigration issues. These critics either haven't read the law or, more likely, don't want to be bothered with reality. Among other things, Arizona's new law makes it a state crime for people to be in Arizona if they are in the United States illegally. If the police have an otherwise lawful encounter with someone, and if they have "reasonable suspicion" that the person is in the United States illegally, the police are required to ask for documentation of immigration status. An Arizona driver's license is presumptive proof of lawful status. The law specifically forbids police from basing their actions solely on someone's race or ethnicity. It also compels the police to base their "reasonable suspicion" on criteria that are permissible under the U.S. and Arizona constitutions. Moreover, when she signed the bill, Gov. Brewer issued an executive order directing additional training specifically to avoid racial profiling when the law is enforced. The new law, which in many places quotes federal law verbatim, was enacted because of the failure at the federal level to enforce those same laws. None of this matters to the Left. With tactics straight out of Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals," they have demonized everyone who dares stand up for responsible enforcement of our laws and for the protection of our citizens. Meanwhile, Barack Obama declared that the nation may not have the "appetite" for an immigration fight this year, so he removed the issue from his agenda. That's a relief. Quote of the Week: "So Arizona passes a tough law against illegal immigration and suddenly they've got Washington's attention. One poll finds 70 percent of Arizona voters support this new law, so, 'Hey, maybe we better do something, too.' And like the lemmings they are when they smell a chance to score some political points, and some of them need a lot of help with the midterms coming up, there is now talk of rushing immigration reform through Congress. President Obama called the Arizona law 'misguided.' What's misguided, Mr. President, is the federal government's ongoing refusal to enforce the laws that are already on the books. Read the Arizona law. Parts of it are word-for-word the same as the federal statutes which continue to be all but ignored. Now we'll hear all sorts of blathering from our Washington gerbils about the need for a new federal law. There'll be news conferences and interviews and committee hearings and draft legislation and polling -- all the usual carnival acts that accompany any hot button Washington issue. Instead of simply closing the borders and enforcing the existing law so they could turn their attention to something like the national debt and the fact that the country is bankrupt, instead we're going to get this freak show. Washington's position on illegal immigration is patently dishonest from the top down. No enforcement, no border security, just pandering to the Hispanic voters and the corporations that hire the illegals. And then, when one of our states that's being ravaged by the presence of 460,000 illegal aliens inside its borders does something about it, the president says that's misguided. Subject: Word of the Day: Dhimmitude Had never heard the word until now---Type it into Google and start reading…Pretty interesting. Note that Muslims and certain other religions are exempt from the Obamacare penalties and it is supported by law. (See Prior Post) We are surrendering from within! The boy is leading us right down the path to total control! Dhimmitude is the Muslim system of controlling non-muslim populations conquered through jihad. Specifically, it is the TAXING of non-muslims in exchange for tolerating their presence AND as a coercive means of converting conquered remnants to islam. The ObamaCare bill is the establishment of Dhimmitude and Sharia muslim diktat in the United States . Muslims are specifically exempted from the government mandate to purchase insurance, and also from the penalty tax for being uninsured. Islam considers insurance to be "gambling", "risk-taking" and "usury" and is thus banned. Muslims are specifically granted exemption based on this. How convenient. So I, Average Joe, a Christian, will have crippling IRS liens placed against all of my assets, including real estate, cattle, and even accounts receivables, and will face hard prison time because I refuse to buy insurance or pay the penalty tax. Meanwhile, Louis Farrakhan will have no such penalty and will have 100% of his health needs paid for by the de facto government insurance. Non-muslims will be paying a tax to subsidize muslims. Period. This is Dhimmitude. Dhimmitude serves two purposes: it enriches the muslim masters AND serves to drive conversions to islam. In this case, the incentive to convert to islam will be taken up by those in the inner-cities as well as the godless Generation X, Y and Z types who have no moral anchor. If you don't believe in Christ to begin with, it is no problem whatsoever to sell Him for 30 pieces of silver. Lots of people will say "Sure, I'll be a muslim if it means free health insurance and no taxes. Where do I sign, bro?"

The Senate health care bill just signed contains some exemptions to the "pay-or-play" mandate requiring purchase of Obamacare-approved health insurance or payment of a penalty fine. As Fox News has pointed out, for instance, the Amish are excused from the mandate:
So while most Americans would be required to sign up with insurance companies or government insurance plans, the church would serve as something of an informal insurance plan for the Amish.
Law experts say that kind of exemption withstands scrutiny.
"Here the statute is going to say that people who are conscientiously opposed to paying for health insurance don't have to do it where the conscientious objection arises from religion," said Mark Tushnet a Harvard law professor. "And that's perfectly constitutional."
Apparently, this exemption will apply similarly to believers in Islam, which considers health insurance - and, for that matter, any form of risk insurance - to be haraam (forbidden).
Steve Gilbert of Sweetness & Light calls our attention to the probability that Muslims will also be expempt. According to a March 23 publication on an authoritative Islamic Web site managed by Sheikh Muhammed Salih Al-Munajjid, various fatwas (religious decrees) absolutely forbid Muslim participation in any sort of health care or other risk insurance:
Health insurance is haraam like other types of commercial insurance, because it is based on ambiguity, gambling and riba (usury). This is what is stated in fatwas by the senior scholars.
In Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa'imah (15/277) there is a quotation of a statement of the Council of Senior Scholars concerning the prohibition on insurance and why it is haraam:
It says in Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa'imah (15/251):
Firstly: Commercial insurance of all types is haraam because it involves ambiguity, riba, uncertainty, gambling and consuming people's wealth unlawfully, and other shar'i
Secondly: It is not permissible for the Muslim to get involved with insurance companies by working in administration or otherwise, because working in them comes under the heading of cooperating in sin and transgression, and Allaah forbids that as He says: "but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is Severe in punishment"

So, it turns out that observant Muslims are not only strictly forbidden from buying any health insurance under the ObamaCare mandate, but may also not even work for any company that provides such insurance or any other form of commercial insurance.
It is not made clear whether or not it is religiously okay to accept "free" non-insured medical care such as that offered in hospital ERs and to some who are covered by Medicaid.
Whether it's all right to serve as a doctor, nurse, or orderly caring for patients whose medical services are being paid for by insurance is not covered in the present response - but one could probably obtain a religious ruling from the Sheikh, whose site welcomes the submission of questions about Islamic law and practices.

We looked to our neighbor on the north, Germany , where Hitler had been in power since 1933. We had been told that they didn't have unemployment or crime, and they had a high standard of living. Nothing was ever said about persecution of any group -- Jewish or otherwise. We were led to believe that everyone was happy. We wanted the same way of life in Austria . We were promised that a vote for Hitler would mean the end of unemployment and help for the family. Hitler also said that businesses would be assisted, and farmers would get their farms back. Ninety-eight percent of the population voted to annex Austria to Germany and have Hitler for our ruler. We were overjoyed, and for three days we danced in the streets and had candlelight parades. The new government opened up big field kitchens and everyone was fed. After the election, German officials were appointed, and like a miracle, we suddenly had law and order. Three or four weeks later, everyone was employed. The government made sure that a lot of work was created through the Public Work Service. Hitler decided we should have equal rights for women. Before this, it was a custom that married Austrian women did not work outside the home. An able-bodied husband would be looked down on if he couldn't support his family. Many women in the teaching profession were elated that they could retain the jobs they previously had been required to give up for marriage. Hitler Targets Education - Eliminates Religious Instruction for Children: Our education was nationalized. I attended a very good public school. The population was predominantly Catholic, so we had religion in our schools. The day we elected Hitler (March 13, 1938), I walked into my schoolroom to find the crucifix replaced by Hitler's picture hanging next to a Nazi flag. Our teacher, a very devout woman, stood up and told the class we wouldn't pray or have religion anymore. Instead, we sang "Deutschland, Deutschland, Uber Alles," and had physical education. Sunday became National Youth Day with compulsory attendance. Parents were not pleased about the sudden change in curriculum. They were told that if they did not send us, they would receive a stiff letter of warning the first time. The second time they would be fined the equivalent of $300, and the third time they would be subject to jail. The first two hours consisted of political indoctrination. The rest of the day we had sports. As time went along, we loved it. Oh, we had so much fun and got our sports equipment free. We would go home and gleefully tell our parents about the wonderful time we had. My mother was very unhappy. When the next term started, she took me out of public school and put me in a convent. I told her she couldn't do that and she told me that someday when I grew up, I would be grateful. There was a very good curriculum, but hardly any fun - no sports, and no political indoctrination. I hated it at first but felt I could tolerate it. Every once in a while, on holidays, I went home. I would go back to my old friends and ask what was going on and what they were doing. Their loose lifestyle was very alarming to me. They lived without religion. By that time unwed mothers were glorified for having a baby for Hitler. It seemed strange to me that our society changed so suddenly. As time went along, I realized what a great deed my mother did so that I wasn't exposed to that kind of humanistic philosophy. Equal Rights Hits Home: In 1939, the war started and a food bank was established. All food was rationed and could only be purchased using food stamps. At the same time, a full-employment law was passed which meant if you didn't work, you didn't get a ration card, and if you didn't have a card, you starved to death. Women who stayed home to raise their families didn't have any marketable skills and often had to take jobs more suited for men. Soon after this, the draft was implemented. It was compulsory for young people, male and female, to give one year to the labor corps. During the day, the girls worked on the farms, and at night they returned to their barracks for military training just like the boys. They were trained to be anti-aircraft gunners and participated in the signal corps. After the labor corps, they were not discharged but were used in the front lines. When I go back to Austria to visit my family and friends, most of these women are emotional cripples because they just were not equipped to handle the horrors of combat. Three months before I turned 18, I was severely injured in an air raid attack. I nearly had a leg amputated, so I was spared having to go into the labor corps and into military service. Hitler Restructured the Family Through Daycare: When the mothers had to go out into the work force, the government immediately established child care centers. You could take your children ages 4 weeks to school age and leave them there around-the-clock, 7 days a week, under the total care of the government. The state raised a whole generation of children.. There were no motherly women to take care of the children, just people highly trained in child psychology. By this time, no one talked about equal rights. We knew we had been had. Health Care and Small Business Suffer Under Government Controls: Before Hitler, we had very good medical care. Many American doctors trained at the University of Vienna . After Hitler, health care was socialized, free for everyone. Doctors were salaried by the government. The problem was, since it was free, the people were going to the doctors for everything. When the good doctor arrived at his office at 8 a.m., 40 people were already waiting and, at the same time, the hospitals were full. If you needed elective surgery, you had to wait a year or two for your turn. There was no money for research as it was poured into socialized medicine. Research at the medical schools literally stopped, so the best doctors left Austria and emigrated to other countries. As for healthcare, our tax rates went up to 80% of our income. Newlyweds immediately received a $1,000 loan from the government to establish a household. We had big programs for families. All day care and education were free. High schools were taken over by the government and college tuition was subsidized. Everyone was entitled to free handouts, such as food stamps, clothing, and housing. We had another agency designed to monitor business. My brother-in-law owned a restaurant that had square tables. Government officials told him he had to replace them with round tables because people might bump themselves on the corners. Then they said he had to have additional bathroom facilities. It was just a small dairy business with a snack bar. He couldn't meet all the demands. Soon, he went out of business. If the government owned the large businesses and not many small ones existed, it could be in control. We had consumer protection. We were told how to shop and what to buy. Free enterprise was essentially abolished. We had a planning agency specially designed for farmers. The agents would go to the farms, count the live-stock, then tell the farmers what to produce, and how to produce it. "Mercy Killing" Redefined: In 1944, I was a student teacher in a small village in the Alps . The villagers were surrounded by mountain passes which, in the winter, were closed off with snow, causing people to be isolated. So people intermarried and offspring were sometimes retarded. When I arrived, I was told there were 15 mentally retarded adults, but they were all useful and did good manual work. I knew one, named Vincent, very well. He was a janitor of the school. One day I looked out the window and saw Vincent and others getting into a van. I asked my superior where they were going. She said to an institution where the State Health Department would teach them a trade, and to read and write. The families were required to sign papers with a little clause that they could not visit for 6 months. They were told visits would interfere with the program and might cause homesickness. As time passed, letters started to dribble back saying these people died a natural, merciful death. The villagers were not fooled. We suspected what was happening. Those people left in excellent physical health and all died within 6 months. We called this euthanasia. The Final Steps - Gun Laws: Next came gun registration.. People were getting injured by guns. Hitler said that the real way to catch criminals (we still had a few) was by matching serial numbers on guns. Most citizens were law abiding and dutifully marched to the police station to register their firearms. Not long after-wards, the police said that it was best for everyone to turn in their guns. The authorities already knew who had them, so it was futile not to comply voluntarily. No more freedom of speech. Anyone who said something against the government was taken away. We knew many people who were arrested, not only Jews, but also priests and ministers who spoke up. Totalitarianism didn't come quickly, it took 5 years from 1938 until 1943, to realize full dictatorship in Austria . Had it happened overnight, my countrymen would have fought to the last breath. Instead, we had creeping gradualism. Now, our only weapons were broom handles. The whole idea sounds almost unbelievable that the state, little by little eroded our freedom. After World War II, Russian troops occupied Austria . Women were raped, preteen to elderly. The press never wrote about this either. When the Soviets left in 1955, they took everything that they could, dismantling whole factories in the process. They sawed down whole orchards of fruit, and what they couldn't destroy, they burned.. We called it The Burned Earth. Most of the population barricaded themselves in their houses. Women hid in their cellars for 6 weeks as the troops mobilized. Those who couldn't, paid the price. There is a monument in Vienna today, dedicated to those women who were massacred by the Russians. This is an eye witness account. It's a broader picture than just health care reform. The blog will concentrate of my concerns as a retired attorney about the imminent and growing threats to our Constitution and our form of government. We have reason to be very afraid of what is happening. THE TRUTH ABOUT THE HEALTHCARE BILLS? Well, I have done it! I have read the entire text of proposed House Bill 3200: The Affordable Health Care Choices Act of 2009. I studied it with particular emphasis from my area of expertise, constitutional law. I was frankly concerned that parts of the proposed law that were being discussed might be unconstitutional. What I found was far worse than what I had heard or expected. To begin with, much of what has been said about the law and its implications is in fact true, despite what the Democrats and the media are saying. The law does provide for rationing of health care, particularly where senior citizens and other classes of citizens are involved, free health care for illegal immigrants, free abortion services, and probably forced participation in abortions by members of the medical profession. The Bill will also eventually force private insurance companies out of business and put everyone into a government run system. All decisions about personal health care will ultimately be made by federal bureaucrats and most of them will not be health care professionals. Hospital admissions, payments to physicians, and allocations of necessary medical devices will be strictly controlled. However, as scary as all of that it, it just scratches the surface. In fact, I have concluded that this legislation really has no intention of providing affordable health care choices. Instead it is a convenient cover for the most massive transfer of power to the Executive Branch of government that has ever occurred, or even been contemplated. If this law or a similar one is adopted, major portions of the Constitution of the United States will effectively have been destroyed. The first thing to go will be the masterfully crafted balance of power between the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of the U.S. Government. The Congress will be transferring to the Obama Administration authority in a number of different areas over the lives of the American people and the businesses they own. The irony is that the Congress doesn't have any authority to legislate in most of those areas to begin with.. I defy anyone to read the text of the U.S. Constitution and find any authority granted to the members of Congress to regulate health care. The paragraph below is really frightening This legislation also provides for access by the appointees of the Obama administration of all of your personal healthcare information, your personal financial information, and the information of your employer, physician, and hospital. All of this is a direct violation of the specific provisions of the 4thAmendment to the Constitution protecting against unreasonable searches and seizures. You can also forget about the right to privacy. That will have been legislated into oblivion regardless of what the 3rd and 4th Amendments may provide. If you decide not to have healthcare insurance or if you have private insurance that is not deemed "acceptable" to the "Health Choices Administrator" appointed by Obama there will be a tax imposed on you. It is called a "tax" instead of a fine because of the intent to avoid application of the due process clause of the 5th Amendment. However, that doesn't work because since there is nothing in the law that allows you to contest or appeal the imposition of the tax, it is definitely depriving someone of property without the "due process of law. So, there are three of those pesky amendments that the far left hate so much out the original ten in the Bill of Rights that are effectively nullified by this law. It doesn't stop there though. The 9th Amendment that provides: "The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people;" The 10th Amendment states: "The powers not delegated to the Unite d States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are preserved to the States respectively, or to the people." Under the provisions of this piece of Congressional handiwork neither the people nor the states are going to have any rights or powers at all in many areas that once were theirs to control. I could write many more pages about this legislation, but I think you get the idea. This is not about health care; it is about seizing power and limiting rights. Article 6 of the Constitution requires the members of both houses of Congress to "be bound by oath or affirmation" to support the Constitution. If I was a member of Congress I would not be able to vote for this legislation or anything like it without feeling I was violating that sacred oath or affirmation. If I voted for it anyway I would hope the American people would hold me accountable. For those who might doubt the nature of this threat I suggest they consult the source. Walter Williams is an Economics Professor at George Mason University. This guy is straight to the point and factual about his observations. This little blurb is chock full of common sense. "President Obama and congressional supporters estimate that his health care plan will cost between $50 and $65 billion a year. Such cost estimates are lies whether they come from a Democratic president and Congress, or a Republican president and Congress. ... At its start, in 1966, Medicare cost $3 billion. The House Ways and Means Committee, along with President Johnson, estimated that Medicare would cost an inflation-adjusted $12 billion by 1990. In 1990, Medicare topped $107 billion. That's nine times Congress' prediction. Today's Medicare tab comes to $420 billion with no signs of leveling off. How much confidence can we have in any cost estimates by the White House or Congress? Another part of the Medicare lie is found in Section 1801 of the 1965 Medicare Act that reads: 'Nothing in this title shall be construed to authorize any federal officer or employee to exercise any supervision or control over the practice of medicine, or the manner in which medical services are provided, or over the selection, tenure, or compensation of any officer, or employee, or any institution, agency or person providing health care services.' This morning I was awoken by my alarm clock powered by electricity generated by the public power monopoly regulated by the US Department of Energy.
I then took a shower in the clean water tested and provided by the municipal water utility. After that, I turned on the television to one of the FCC regulated channels to see what the National Weather Service of the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration determined the weather was going to be like using satellites designed, built, and launched by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Checking out those hurricanes? I watched this while eating my breakfast of US Department of Agriculture inspected food and taking my medicines, which have been determined as safe by the Food and Drug Administration.
At the appropriate time, as regulated by the US Congress and kept accurate by the National Institute of Standards and Technology and the US Naval Observatory, I get into my National Highway Traffic Safety Administration-approved automobile and set out to work on roads built and maintained by the local, state, and federal Departments of Transportation, possibly stopping to purchase additional fuel of a lead-free quality level determined by the Environmental Protection Agency, using legal tender issued by the Federal Reserve Bank. On the way, I might deposit any mail I have to be sent via the US Postal Service and drop the kids off at the public school.
Then, I go to work, complaining about the taxes I am forced to pay, and how the government needs to get off my back and out of my business. And that's just my morning.

Proving once again that "the nine most terrifying words in the English language are: 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help,'" The Democrats' Cash for Clunkers program is creating more problems than it's solving. Congressional geniuses enacted a trifecta of bureaucratic bungling with too little funding, far too few paperwork processors (only 200 to handle millions of filings), and too many regulations (156 pages worth), which initially lasted only four days before it became insolvent. Now the program is ending again on Monday, only a month after it began. Automotive dealers have discovered the Orwellian joys of working for the federal government that created the Clunkers program to sell it's Government Motors cars quickly ... after hours of paperwork per vehicle is filed under the Paperwork Reduction Act and after the dealers have to float millions of dollars waiting for the feds to reimburse them. Many dealers, fed up with unpaid millions in Clunker sales for which they cannot obtain collateral, ceased participation in the Clunkers program early, although Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood swears that dealers are "going to get their money." Naturally, Washington hales the "very popular" program (when was "free" money not popular?) as a smashing "success." We can only imagine the "success" of government-run health care!"

ORGANIZING FOR AMERICA... What kind of group could this be? It sounds like a great group. Let's find out just who they are. But first, let's all agree that having different opinions is a good thing. By bringing together different opinions and working together to find productive, positive ideas that will offer solutions to issues that need improvement is a thing of beauty. However, this is not what is happening with respect to any of the issues that the Obama Administration has chosen to deal with. They are ramming their idea of how they want to fundamentally change this country down everyone's throat. Now, if you buy into what they are selling, I guess you don't even have to hold your nose to swallow it. But we are talking about some serious changes, like the government take-over and control of many facets of our lives and the economic process in which this Great Country has led the world for so many years. I beleive most Americans are hard-working, liberty-loving, innovative, productive people who want to make their own choices about what is best for them and their families. You can try to make the argument that America does not have the best health care available to its population, but personally I think you would be wrong. We have the best medical resources in this world, right here in the United States. You can argue that not everyone has "access" to medical care. Well, you can walk into any emergency room with a medical problem, and they will not turn you away, not even if you are a foreigner in this country illegally. Most people that argue about the lack of access are really trying to argue for universal FREE healthcare. Well, there is no such thing. There is no way that the government can wave a magic wand or create a 1000 page piece of legislature that will give everone daily foot massages for nothing. I will agree that our system can use some additional alternatives and plans that offer less expensive coverage for some people. But, there a currently plans out there that are available to anyone who has major medical coverage as a priority in their life plan. We already have Medicare and Medicaid, both plans don't work well and are polluted with fraud and are broke. So what does the Obama Administration want to do with our healthcare system? What the Democratis Senators and the Democratic "publicists" are telling us is contrary to what this monterous bill says. President Obama himself, is telling us things that is contrary to what this bill contains. Will the TRUTH come out at one of these "Organizing For America" meeting? Well, let's try to figure out who this group is. To start, lets figure out who created this group, or organization. Why it was the brainchild of President Obama's political machine members, primarily David Axelrod. Who is David Axelrod? There is plenty of information out there that will inform you about what he has done and who he has associated himself with. But, here is what you need to know in relation to how this litttle "group" was formed. David Axelrod's political consulting services are operated through his firm AKP&D Message & Media. He also operated a second business from the same office, ASK Public Strategies, which creates strategy and advertising campaigns for corporate clients. The partners include Eric Sedler (the "S" in ASK), 39, a former public relations director at AT&T and corporate-reputation specialist at PR giant Edelman and the company's managing partner, and John Kupper (the "K" in ASK), 51, a former congressional press secretary and ad-industry consultant. These groups specialize in an highly effective and controversial advertising technique know as “astroturfing”. Astroturfing is a form of propaganda whose techniques usually consist of a few people attempting to give the impression that mass numbers of enthusiasts advocate some specific cause. The term is said to have been used first in this context by former US Senator Lloyd Bentsen. It is wordplay based on grassroots democracy efforts – truly spontaneous undertakings largely sustained by private persons – as opposed to politicians, governments, corporations, or public relations firms. AstroTurf refers to the bright green artificial grass used in some sports stadiums, so "astroturfing" refers to imitating or faking popular grassroots opinion or behaviour. This practice is specifically prohibited by the code of ethics of the Public Relations Society of America, the national association for members of the public relations profession in the United States. As a private organization, the most significant punishment PRSA can hand out to members who engage in astroturfing is revocation of membership in the association. Although the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) does not specifically mention astroturfing, it does require honest communication. So, the group called ORGANIZING FOR AMERICA is born! President-elect Barack Obama announced the formation of a new group known as "Organizing for America" that aims to continue the grassroots advocacy that the former Illinois Senator began in his presidential campaign. "As President, I will need the help of all Americans to meet the challenges that lie ahead," Obama said in a video message e-mailed to supporters (and reporters) this morning. "That's why I'm asking people like you who fought for change during the campaign to continue fighting for change in your communities." The new group will be the flagship of "Obama 2.0" as many people have taken to calling the transformation of the political organization created during the 2008 campaign. The new group will work within the Democratic National Committee -- led by Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine -- to advance the Obama agenda. "President-elect Obama has laid the foundation to meet the great challenges facing our nation, but we can succeed only if we build grassroots support for the administration's agenda," said Kaine in a release announcing the formation of Organizing for America. The new group had been long expected within Obama's inner circle and, although no details on how it would be staffed were released by the transition office today, it is expected that longtime Obama loyalists will be placed in charge -- following the blueprint set out at the DNC. It's clear that Obama recognizes the power that his email list, which boasts more than 13 million names, represents in American politics and is working to ensure it stays within the control of a small group who are charged with protecting the Obama brand. So what will Leanne Townsend be telling us at the library on September 1st? I dont expect it will be anything close to the truth! |

Cash for Clunkers! Why should I be able to go buy a new car and have the government tax my neighbor to subsidize the purchase. Why should my tax dollars be going to buy you a new car? Oh, I forgot, it's not MY tax dollars, it's tax dollars that hasn't even been collected yet! So, why should my little six year old daughter have a promise hung around her neck, to subsidize the purchase of someone's car, today?
This program has not been running very long and it is already out of money. (borrowed money) I have not talked to a dealer yet that has actually received any money that they have applied for through the "clunker" program. I've asked four. Oh, and the dealers have to render the cars that they are taking in on trade, un-saleable. I guess they have to destroy some major component or something... maybe the engine? I don't know the details of that part of it, but it would stand to reason seeing that part of the purpose of the program is to better the enviornment by taking these old gas guzzlers off the road. What about the people that drive used cars? Oh yeah, the government isn't in the business of making used cars.
Here's a scary detail that has just surfaced: When the automobile dealers log on to the government website to make application for reimbursement under the Cash for Clunkers program they have to accept the terms and conditions of the program... you know, a disclaimer page. We've all seen them. This one has a "Privacy Act and Security Statement" that includes the wording: (This application provides access to the DOT "CARS" system, your computer is now considered a part of the Federal computer system and is the property of the U.S. Government.) Why in the hell would anyone press the "I Accept" button on this one. One word: MONEY. The government has taken control of the auto industry and these are the tenticales reaching out and grabbing hold of the distribution points ( the dealers). This means they can look into a dealer's computer and sniff around for anything they want to look at. I guess if the dealer was using an internet based phone service, the government could even listen to their phone conversations.
How's that " Change we can Beleive In " stuff working for you so far?!?
Does anyone want the Federal Government to "FIX" our healthcare system?!?
When we give the government power to give us something, we give them control over us. The assistance always comes with requirements, regulations, stipulations, and so forth. This, for the left, is a “backdoor” way to advance their agenda. Directly ordering states to change their laws and regulations is a direct violation of the Tenth Amendment. Also, going through the legislative process can be messy; legislation may not pass, and, more importantly, the debate is public. When the left can’t pass something in the open, they either do it incrementally, bypass the democratic process via a lawsuit, or pass it as a “string” attached to funding.
Thinking about today's massive deficits, where in the U.S. Constitution is Congress given the authority to do anything about the economy?
The Constitution is an obstacle to Obama's plans.

Glen Beck is one of the few that are speaking about truth and common sense with respect to what is really going on. Beck uses some wit and humor to make his points, but at the same time, some of the ways he explains things are sheer genius. Ever since I first saw Colonel Oliver North testify in front of Congress and answer questions posed to him by Al Gore, I have admired him. Colonel North understands as well as anyone, the importance of the war against radical islam. He also has a clear understanding of the motives of our current cast of politicians. I thank a veteran at every opportunity! Sacrifice in Afghanistan By Oliver North Friday, 24 July 2009 GEORGETOWN, S.C. -- He was standing at the counter when I entered the store. As he paid the clerk, he turned, and I noticed, in this order, his beard, his T-shirt, which had "Marines" emblazoned on the front, and his cane. His prosthetic foot still was masked by the counter when I said, "Semper fi, leatherneck." He smiled and replied: "Semper fi to you, too, Colonel. You were embedded with my unit in Afghanistan last year." We spoke for a few minutes. He had been wounded by the favorite weapon of radical Islamic terror, an IED. He's minus some of his body, a little less mobile, preparing to re-enter civilian life and permanently proud of having served his country. As he moved to leave, he said: "We did our part. Sure hope the crowd in Washington doesn't screw it up." His concern is particularly relevant at a time when the American welfare state is the only growth industry in our country. At its core is socialized health care. The Obama administration and Democrats in Congress are pushing legislation to make health insurance mandatory for every American and to allow government to dictate what services will be provided to us. It is an expansive, expensive proposal, requiring the most productive among us to carry the cost of medical care for all others. That's relevant to the young wounded Marine because the O-Team's compassion czars first suggested that some of the cost of health care for illegal immigrants and "disadvantaged" citizens be borne by America's combat-wounded service members. The administration's bean counters and medical magistrates discerned that charging veterans' private insurance companies for treatment of service-connected injuries, wounds or sickness could save $540 million. The O-Team's message to our military: If you gun-toting, knife-wielding, overage adolescents and right-wing extremists want to go off and play soldier, don't expect us to pick up the tab if you get hurt. After veterans organizations and pro-military citizens groups conducted a shock-and-awe campaign in the blogosphere, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced that the O-Team had "made the decision that the combat-wounded veterans should not be billed through their insurance policies for combat-related injuries." Let's hope someone on Capitol Hill actually reads the most recent draft of the "health care reform" legislation to ensure that the fine print of this medical monstrosity doesn't include other innovative ways to stick it to our wounded warriors. The thought that we are likely to have more wounded has apparently occurred to the vice president. On July 23, a New York Times headline cautioned, "Biden Warns of More 'Sacrifice' in Afghanistan." During a European tour, the VP was asked about progress in Afghanistan, and he referred to the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, along which up-tempo fighting is occurring, as "a place that, if it doesn't get straightened out, will continue to wreak havoc on Europe and the United States." For the gaffe-prone veep, file this remark in the category of broken clocks and occasional accuracy. "This is the place," Biden continued, "from which the attacks of 9/11 and all those attacks in Europe that came from al-Qaida have flowed." In an effort to quell skeptics, he went on to note that the fighting and the war "are worth the effort we are making." His remarks appear to be directed at the press and the pollsters now casting doubt on the U.S. mission in Afghanistan. A Washington Post-ABC News poll released this week asked the following question: "All in all, considering the costs to the United States versus the benefits to the United States, do you think the war in Afghanistan was worth fighting, or not?" The survey showed 51 percent of Americans -- a drop of 5 points in four months -- now believe the war is worth fighting. Notably, that is roughly the same decline the O-Team has taken on everything from handling the economy to health care reform. It also begs for a poll question like, "All in all, considering the incompetence of the media versus the benefits of a free press, do you think the 'free press' provision of the First Amendment is worth keeping?" For the record, Afghanistan is the place from which the attacks of Sept. 11 were planned and launched. Those attacks took the lives of nearly 3,000 of our fellow citizens and were the catalyst for legislative, cultural and political changes many of us never imagined. The masters of the mainstream media are now doing to the campaign in Afghanistan what they did in 2006 and 2007 in Iraq. The left and the potentates of the press derisively labeled Iraq "Bush's war." But this week's Oval Office meeting between Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and Mr. Obama indicates the campaign in Iraq is all but over and won for American troops. Some have taken to calling Afghanistan "Obama's war." There is some truth to that; Mr. Obama blamed Mr. Bush for "taking his eye off the ball" in Afghanistan and has "surged" troop levels there. These two campaigns, however, are just part of a bigger, broader war being waged against us by radical Islam. It is a war that deserves more than a veep's occasional stumble into veracity. It deserves a commander in chief's laser focus and recognition of the sacrifice already being made by hundreds of thousands of soldiers, sailors, airmen, guardsmen and Marines. What system are we?

GLENN: The question in USA Today, is child obesity child abuse. Courts increasingly wrestle with questions of parental fitness. Well, of course they are going to wrestle with if we could just have something, you know, like some sort of rights of the child. Oh, my goodness, we have one of those. That's fantastic. We can get that from the United Nations. They have been pressuring us to sign that for a while. And then we'll know that parents only have certain rights with their children and the courts will have to wrestle with those questions of parental fitness.
So the question today I have for you is what system are we? Are we capitalist anymore? Are we a socialist? Are we a communist? Are's an oligarchy? I'm going to tell you what I think we are in a few minutes.
Let's recap again. First definite nation is capitalism.
PAT: An economic system based on a free market, open competition, profit motive and private ownership of the means of production.
GLENN: Don't think we're that anymore.
PAT: Doesn't sound like. It.
GLENN: Socialist?
PAT: A social is government is any of the various theories or systems of social organization which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy.
GLENN: Okay, I think we're closer to that one than we are capitalism but that's not right, either.
PAT: And the reason that's not communism yet, it's between capitalism and communism is because the collective ownership of the economy under a dictatorship has not yet been achieved. So communism then is the theory or system of social organization based on the holding of all property in common. Actual ownership being a
GLENN: Hold on just a second. I just want to point this out. Listen to this carefully. The idea that property is held in common. Joe, do you have that stat on how much the exact stat Fannie and Freddie own of our mortgages?
JOE: Percentage says it's 57%. But as far as homes, I'm still looking that up.
GLENN: So 50% of all mortgages?
PAT: 57.
GLENN: 57% of all mortgages currently being held by Fannie and Freddie. Now, I just, I want to alert you on something. The TARP program guaranteed to be $700 million I'm sorry, $700 billion. Guaranteed to be $700 billion. We found out yesterday from the inspector general of the TARP program that what we have actually guaranteed is $24 trillion. No, that hasn't gone out of the $700 billion. That's what we gave out. But we've promised $24 trillion. If somebody goes, you know, down with their mortgages, if somebody goes down with their bank buildings, if somebody goes down with their commercial real estate, whatever, that's okay. We'll cover it. "But these things aren't going to happen." Well, how much more does the state own if they bail out $24 trillion worth of loans? And we think that it's just going into Fannie and Freddie. Well, that's no big deal. That is going to the federal government. You start defaulting on these things by the way, commercial real estate, much bigger than the real estate bubble that we just went through. And the second phase of the home bubble, the home real estate bubble is coming, and that one is bigger than the first one as well.
So how much will they end up if they own 57% now, how much will they own two years from now? Okay, so that's the first part of communism. You have to own the property. You have to own collectively everything.
PAT: And then the actual ownership being ascribed to the community as a whole or to the state.
GLENN: Okay. We've already got that with GM and CitiBank and everything else.
PAT: An oligarchy is a form of government in which all power is vested in a few people or in a dominant class or clique, government by the few.
GLENN: Hold on just a second. Let's do this again. An oligarchy like what they have in Russia is what?
PAT: A form of government in which all power is vested in a few persons or in a dominant class or clique, government by the few.
GLENN: Dominant class or clique, I'm trying to think. I mean, I know that businesses are being huge business, they are too big to fail. You know, let's get those guys, let's bail those guys out. They have got to be bailed out right away. That's crazy. And they are the ones that are wait a minute. Hang on just a second. I'm thinking a dominant class or clique, you've got the uber rich. You've got the extreme left. You have these giant corporations that are involved.
PAT: Can you think of one in particular?
GLENN: GE, I can think of that. I can think of the labor unions, those guys.
PAT: Yeah. Any banks in particular that spring to mind?
GLENN: CitiBank, Bank of America, you know, Goldman Sachs.
PAT: Goldman Sachs.
GLENN: Goldman Sachs.
PAT: Yeah.
GLENN: Goldman Sachs, wow, that's almost an oligarchy there, huh? Isn't that weird. I'm sure we're not an oligarchy. I'm sure we're not even close to that.
PAT: No.
GLENN: Okay, the next one, the last one is fascism. Listen to this one.
PAT: A governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.
GLENN: Let's go back and take this one apart. I personally think we are on the road. We're not any of these right now, including capitalism. We're not any of these because we are going through a metamorphosis. We are a caterpillar in a cocoon right now. When the cocoon comes off, what are we going to be? I believe we are headed towards one of the last two: Oligarchy or fascism. Listen to you have the oligarchy. That is basically a system where, look, it's Russia. Russia's got, you know, popular elections, they do it. But everybody knows Putin runs the show. And he's living by the Russian constitution. What? He's the prime minister now. What? He had term limits. What? He's not running things. Yes, he is. You know it and I know it. And who's really running the country? Putin is the strong man making sure that business runs right. And if you are not doing the things that he wants, you are dead. More journalists die in Russia than any other country. It is a dangerous place because it is run by the uber powerful and the uber rich. Don't even think about trying to break that system up. No matter where you are, they will kill you. That's what's happening in Russia. Is that where we're headed? When the cocoon breaks? Are we an oligarchy? Or are we a fascistic state. Listen carefully.
PAT: Government system led by a dictator having complete power.
GLENN: Stop. This is where everyone says a dictator with complete power, you are ridiculous. You are right. Theory, just think transformation process. What are we headed towards? We have a guy who now is trying to move the inspectors general into the executive branch so the executive branch will have control of all the inspectors general. Then he's got a system of czars that answer to no one. They don't answer to congress. You have framework being put into these bills that are going to make congress impotent, not to mention what's coming with the census. You've got ACORN coming out and doing the census. That's going to shift boundaries. That's going to shift capital. That's going to shift power. All right. So you've got a very strong dictator. We don't have a dictator yet.
PAT: No.
GLENN: I hope he never turns into one. But gee, the framework is sure being built for that. Hope he never turns into it. All right, next part of it.
PAT: Forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism.
GLENN: Forcibly, that's not happening forcibly well, I will tell you that if you don't
PAT: Makings of it.
GLENN: Yeah, if you don't think that Bank of America has been told to shut their mouth, if you don't think CitiBank has been told to shut their mouth. We know for a fact Browner has told the car companies shut your mouth; don't you even say a word; I don't even want this in writing. But nobody's even investigating it. Wildly against the law. Okay? So you have the beginnings of it. But you are not there yet.
PAT: All the talk of the Fairness Doctrine, those kinds of things.
GLENN: Exactly right. If you think my voice or Rush's voice or Sean's voice are going to be here in five years, boy, I hope you're right. I hope you're right.
PAT: Regimenting all industry, commerce, et cetera and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism.
GLENN: Regimenting all commerce. What is the commerce clause? Why have we been ranting about overturn the commerce clause? Because they regiment all commerce. They are already doing these things. Is there any more to it?
PAT: Emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism. If there's not racism now
GLENN: If there's not racism, I don't know what there is. It is this is a whole system built on the race card. Back in a second.

Team ObamaCare: Sanger, Ginsburg and Holdren
"The care of human life and happiness, and not their destruction, is the first and only legitimate object of good government." --Thomas Jefferson
Now that Barack Hussein Obama has undermined free enterprise by nationalizing major financial and manufacturing sectors of our economy, he has set his sights on the health care sector, which comprises almost 18 percent of the U.S. economy.
This shouldn't surprise us. After all, he did promise a "fundamental transformation of the United States of America," and his chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, did cite the current economic crisis as the means for doing so. "Rule 1: Never allow a crisis to go to waste," Emanuel said. "They are opportunities to do big things."
Of course, there is NO constitutional authority or precedent for this massive government intrusion into the private sector. But then, when do Leftists look to any authority higher than themselves?
Considering the prospect of Socialists in charge of dispensing health care from cradle to grave, I was reminded, by none other than Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, that when one is in need of health care, one should not depend on folks who advocate a "culture of death."
In an interview last week, Ginsburg said that she thought "at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don't want to have too many of."
This comment was not some senile blunder from an aging jurist noted for nodding off during High Court deliberations.
In fact, Ginsburg's candid assessment of the Left's advocacy for abortion as a means for controlling propagation of undesirable ethnic groups is based upon the writings of atheist social activist and leftist icon Margaret Sanger.
Some 50 years before Roe v. Wade, Sanger founded the American Birth Control League, which later became Planned Parenthood, now the largest perpetrator of abortions in the U.S.
Sanger asserted that ministry to the poor, a fundamental tenet of Christianity, is responsible for excessive numbers of "unwanted" ethnic breeds. "Those vast, complex, interrelated organizations aiming to control and to diminish the spread of misery and destitution and all the menacing evils that spring out of this sinisterly fertile soil, are the surest sign that our civilization has bred, is breeding, and is perpetuating constantly increasing numbers of defectives, delinquents, and dependents. My criticism, therefore, is not directed at the failure of philanthropy, but rather at its success. These dangers are inherent in the very idea of humanitarianism and altruism, dangers which have today produced their full harvest of human waste."
Ah, yes, "human waste."
Sanger characterized the poor as "human weeds, reckless breeders, spawning ... human beings who never should have been born."
In "Woman and the New Race," Sanger insisted that women create an enormous "debt to society [by] creating slums, filling asylums with the insane, and institutions with other defectives. ... Poverty and the large family generally go hand in hand. ... The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it."
Of blacks, Sanger wrote, "We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."
She advocated policies that ensured "more children from the fit, less from the unfit" in order to "to create a race of thoroughbreds." (Remember this quote the next time a liberal tells you that Fascists and Socialists have nothing in common.)
Sanger was certainly the 20th century's most noted American proponent of racist eugenics. However when we remind our liberal friends of the origins of Planned Parenthood, they sputter on about Sanger's support for eugenics being an anomaly of another time and context.
But Sanger's advocacy for the extermination of the "unwanted" is the basis of today's culture of death. Indeed, one of the adherents of eugenics now directs BHO's White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and is the co-chair of Obama's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.
John Holdren may not be openly advocating racial selection, but he clearly advocates mass sterilization and abortion in order to control human impact on the environment. This is nothing but a contemporary interpretation of Sanger's eliminating "human weeds" and "reckless breeders."
Holdren's modern day eugenics program is outlined in a book he co-authored, "Ecoscience," in which he calls for "a comprehensive Planetary Regime [in order to] control the development, administration, conservation and distribution of all natural resources."
One solution, writes Holdren, is "adding a sterilant to drinking water or staple foods" which would help weed out those "who contribute to social deterioration."
As for the constitutional authority, Holdren writes, "Indeed, it has been concluded that compulsory population-control laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing Constitution if the population crisis became sufficiently severe to endanger the society."
"If some individuals contribute to general social deterioration by overproducing children," insists Holdren, "if the need is compelling, they can be required by law to exercise reproductive responsibility -- just as they can be required to exercise responsibility in their resource-consumption patterns -- providing they are not denied equal protection."
I suppose Holdren is Obama's "Czar of Compelling Needs."
As for global solutions, Holdren writes, "The Planetary Regime might be given responsibility for determining the optimum population for the world and for each region and for arbitrating various countries' shares within their regional limits. Control of population size might remain the responsibility of each government, but the Regime would have some power to enforce the agreed limits. If this could be accomplished, security might be provided by an armed international organization, a global analogue of a police force. Many people have recognized this as a goal, but the way to reach it remains obscure in a world where factionalism seems, if anything, to be increasing. The first step necessarily involves partial surrender of sovereignty to an international organization."
Holdren is of course careful about how his "Planetary Regime" might enforce these limits, but given the common bonds of Fascists and Socialists, a contemporary global solution with much more efficient ecological results than dismembering children in the womb would be to release a biological agent targeting mass populations in developing regions of Asia and Africa -- something like strains of Swine or Bird Influenza. After all, AlGorites consider climate change to be a crisis of global proportions, and such a crisis requires innovative solutions.
Holdren concludes, "This may be the last opportunity to choose our own and our descendants' destiny. Failing to choose or making the wrong choices may lead to catastrophe. But it must never be forgotten that the right choices could lead to a much better world."
In 1931, futurist H.G. Wells wrote of Sanger's proposed regime, "The movement she started will grow to be, a hundred years from now, the most influential of all time. When the history of our civilization is written, it will be a biological history, and Margaret Sanger will be its heroine."
Apparently, Obama's director of White House Office of Science and Technology Policy is prepared to do his part to sustain Sanger's legacy.
Given Holdren's musings about population control, should these folks be in charge of determining who receives what medical care?
Circling back to that same interview with Justice Ginsburg last week, here is how she defended a woman's right to end the life of her unborn child: "The basic thing is that the government has no business making that choice for a woman."
But in regard to ObamaCare, I doubt that Ginsburg would apply a similar standard: "The basic thing is that the government has no business making that choice."
The Hippocratic Oath, until recently the de facto position of medicine, established the fundamental principle that a physician should "First, do no harm." Perhaps BO himself should take that oath -- not that he has shown any penchant for honoring the one he took for his current job.

"OBAMACARE" President Obama said, "If we do not fix our health care system, America may go the way of GM: paying more, getting less, and going broke." So, we need to spend more to save more?!? Even if you have so many Obama stickers on your car that you have to increase the air pressure in your tires, surely, you must be questioning things now. ABC News is lending itself to the Obama administration for the night of Wednesday, June 24, for a live broadcast of ABC World News Tonight from the Blue Room of the White House. This will be followed by an hour-long primetime special entitled "Prescription for America," which will advocate the Obama health care plan. The Republican National Committee noted that with the absence of opposing views, the programming amounts to little more than a campaign commercial -- one that should rightly be paid for by the Democratic National Committee. ABC predictably took offense and claimed that it will have complete editorial control over the content of the program. Or at least as much control as the White House wants them to have. As columnist Cal Thomas observes, "By the way, guess who's the new director of communications for the White House Office of Health Reform. It's former ABC News correspondent Linda Douglass, who left journalism last year to join the Obama campaign." How convenient. Hey weasel, I am not concerned with why the Taliban invaded Pakistan what has my interest in it is the fact that the Taliban cut off their noses to spite their faces and those who were supportive or even sympathetic to them have seen it. Their actions has brought the US and Pakistan into an alliance. Sometimes the cause and the means has to be divided in order to find progress and truth.
I don't see any sort or type of monarchy in our politics assuming your use of the word czar was heading in that direction. I do see the overall destruction of the Clinton administration taking place though.... Marxism vs capitalism is more of what I see and understand. Both are self destructive when the powers become self serving and abusing. Ironically marxism is said to be the removal of limitations for all resulting in freedom for all. In our present situation the self serving marxist movement and the greedy capitalists have destroyed themselves.... ALL suffer for it. It's going to take more than "A" democrat or more than "A" republican to fix this mess... It's going to take the people stepping upto the plate in unity and demanding a higher standard of leadership void of wealthy politicians who are advocates, wealthy advocates, leg humping politicians, role models, movie stars funding whichever movement they are for and extremists from all walks of life. How do you shut those types up? Don't expect a politician to do it and we the people are merely social and capitalist slaves... Condemning one side is the same as condemning the side you are for because they are ALL limited by their greed and self serving policies. Obama hasn't embraced activists and he has stepped on a few of their toes.... Not sure what it all means but it is a change and I am watching to see which direction this is going in... There is a saying that you should hold your friends close and your enemies closer.... I wait to see if Obama has positioned the Clinton's into power or restraints! Obama has my interest and my attention. I do hate the tax hikes that are coming especially when they are to be distributed selectively and it's to pay for the actions of marxists and capitalists and there won't be any tax hikes with the removal of limitations or with "equality"... Why would the Taliban want to take over the government of Pakistan? Nukes! Our Secretary of State had nothing to do with negotiating anything unless there was something in it for her. Just as her husband arranged someone to go over to China and help them with their gyros, so they could get a satellite into stable orbit...( uh, oh... the same technology used for target aquisition by inter-continental ballistic missels). President Bill Clinton arranged for the control of this technology to be shifted to the oversight of Ron Brown, as a trade issue....remember. As I am sure you are aware, our past President Bill Clinton has yet to disclose all the donors to his library. Mrs. Clinton and her boss, President Obama, play the same game. It's all about personal power, and party power. There is so much going on, it is overwhelming. That is what this current admininstration wants. They want you to be so overwhelmed, that you will just give up on keeping track and go back to watching American Idol. We have been so weakened on the world stage and crippled internally by the economic take-over by the government, that we are past the point of no return. Long time no hear VFT, im still here, I do not post here much anymore, this site has become a Wally Bashing site, and I can't bash the man for doing a good job. he gives the citizens of Dale County 100%+. He was on top of the recent home invaison of an elderly couple (Ozark PD were also). I still can not belive what coward crackheads, who are to sorry to work, would go and attack an old couple (85 year old), with a gun, just for a high. We need more people that have the guts to stand up and fight for the rights of retired people that arn't able to protect themselves. How do you bash people that care for the citizens of the county that elected them? I'm afraid that the people that do are a few bricks light of a load. |

Weasel, where did you get the source of information to draw these conclusions? I would like to ponder the information more closely. Are you aware that Turkey is an ally of the U.S. and that we sell them our outdated military equipment? Are you aware that another of our allies is going to Somalia to help fight piracy due to Hillary Clinton's request for help to do so? The King of Bahrain volunteered to help fight piracy and he is sending his flagship, one of our decommissioned Naval ships we sold to them. Did you know that Obama signed a law that now allows for people to carry guns into State and National parks? I am NO fan of Obama nor do I like the Clinton's but unity is better than division and Arab radicals seeing the U.S. working with other Arab and or Muslim countries is a very good thing. Even Pakistan has grown some backbone and is now fighting with the U.S. AGAINST the Taliban!!!!! All of which could indicate the return of our troops at a date sooner than later with allies to boot! I still disagree with bailouts, I did when Bush promoted it and I did when Obama implemented it! I like Obama's plan to control the price of medical research and practices because doing so will keep medical costs down and allow more competitors into the market. We have the Clinton's to thank for the problems we have regarding health care! Our own people (American Citizens) sell guns to Mexican cartels so they can smuggle in drugs and I find that appalling especially when there are few requirements for selling guns to Mexico by either gov't. As for another terrorist attack, most already believe we will be attacked again and this belief was adopted soon after 9-11 and can't be blamed on Obama. I think Israel should fight their own battles! It sounds like you are proposing that the US invade the world much like Hitler and the Japanese tried to do. This time next year Obama will be disliked as he sticks his hands into our pockets via taxes and the rest of the world will have relaxed a bit as they realize the super power isn't after Muslims. They are starting to see that Osama is a blasphemer and IF he isn't already dead one of his own race will kill him for his sins. Obama's tax hikes and tax sources have me worried more than anything else. |

An assault weapon is anything that looks scary to a liberal, and anything that looks cool to someone who appreciates guns. The left will take every opportunity they can to slowly take our right to bear arms away from us. They know that they can't do it all at once, in one big grab. That sort of attempt would cause a revolt for sure. Instead, the Second Amendment will suffer "death by 1000 cuts." The coming "Assault Weapons Ban" is just one slash of many to come. The Peaceful Revolution's First 100 Days By Mark Alexander Last fall, Barack Hussein Obama pledged that his administration would carry out a "fundamental transformation of the United States of America." Today, as we reflect on the first 100 days of the Obama regime's occupation of the executive branch, with Party allegiance in the legislative branch, it pains me to report that he has exceeded the wildest expectations of his Socialist constituencies. In the wake of last year's "October Surprise" (the catastrophic meltdown of the nation's largest financial institutions), his chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, said of Obama's strategy, "Rule 1: Never allow a crisis to go to waste. They are opportunities to do big things." Indeed, Obama has done BIG things. In the words of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, "Obama's first 100 days have been spectacularly successful. Obama is the strongest domestic Democratic President since Lyndon Johnson. ... In just 100 days, Obama has been devastatingly effective in moving forward swiftly the most radical, government-expanding agenda in American history." How did that happen? Some political scientists argue that democracy is a conduit for "peaceful revolutions," including radical shifts in political ideology, without a shot being fired. I agree, except that our nation is not a "dumbocracy." It is a republic, or at least it was before the once proud Democrat Party became infested with Socialists, who masterfully co-opted the education system along with the modern "opiate of the masses" (television and print media), and re-educated those masses. So successful has this Leftist strategy been that their dumbed-down constituencies now follow their messianic leader like dullard lemmings. Consequently, here is an account of a few notable events from the first 100 days of "hope and change." Under the aegis of "economic stimulus," Obama promptly raided the Treasury and doled it out to his constituencies -- at terrible expense to this and future generations. Asked how one might evaluate the effectiveness of his plan, Obama replied, "I think my initial measure of success is creating or saving four million jobs." Not even Bill Clinton had the hubris to suggest something as slick as "saving four million jobs." Remarkably, Obama managed to ram that one through Congress without a single Democrat claiming to have read it. As for his cabinet, a long list of Obama nominees agreed to pay back taxes in return for rubber stamp appointments, including Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, who, despite owing more than $40,000 now oversees the IRS. Poor nominee Tom Daschle, who in a previous life as Demo Senate Majority Leader proclaimed, "Tax cheaters cheat us all, and the IRS should enforce our laws to the letter." He was all but confirmed as HHS Secretary until we learned that he had cheated us out of $130,000 in back taxes. Apparently even Obama's hypocrisy knows some limits. Obama last fall repeatedly promised to end the practice of special interest earmarks. Then, he signed an appropriations bill with more than 8,000 earmarks, including $2 billion for House Appropriations Chairman David Obey's lobbyist son's projects, $3.7 billion for contracts to Sen. Diane Feinstein's husband's company, and $4.19 billion for Obama's favorite voter fraud outfit, ACORN. When the pork-laden bill passed, Obama had the audacity to proclaim, "I'm proud that we passed a recovery plan free of earmarks." Obama also converted the Federal Reserve and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation into instruments for nationalizing the banking system. Under the pretense of responding to "global warming," Obama has plans to impose almost $2 trillion in cap-and-tax energy taxes -- this despite his oft-repeated pledge that 95 percent of Americans wouldn't see their taxes increased. Obama's $3.5 trillion 2010 budget includes projections for more than $9 trillion in near-term increases of national debt. Feigning fiscal integrity, Obama demanded budget cuts of $100 million -- which is to say that even while obscenely expanding the size of government, he targeted some spending that was out of line with his ideology. For the record, $100 million represents three one-thousandths of one percent of Obama's FY 2010 budget, or approximately what the central government redistributes every 13 minutes of every hour of every day of every week of... Harvard Economist Greg Mankiw also offered some perspective on this $100 million spending cut, noting that it's the equivalent of a family with a $100,000 income cutting a $3 latte from their budget. Of Obama's budget, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi exclaimed, "[F]or the first time in many, many years, we have a president's budget ... that is a statement of our national values. ... It's a very happy day for our country." Meanwhile, according to The Wall Street Journal, in February, the price of single-family homes in 20 major metropolitan areas fell 18.6 percent from the previous year, after a record 19 percent drop in January. In the first quarter of 2009, the U.S. economy contracted at a seasonally adjusted 6.1 percent annual rate, and Americans lost more than two million jobs. No doubt Obama's bold and swift action saved four million other jobs. Perhaps the most dangerous of all the Obama policy shifts, however, is his framing of our foreign policy with atonement for America's past, which he says has been "arrogant," "dismissive" and "derisive." In doing so, he lends credibility to the anti-American attitudes and actions of our enemies. Some of the most telling examples of Obama's ideology are apparent in the last few of his first hundred days. For example: Day 97: Obama's White House Military Office appointee, former Clintonista Louis Caldera, authorized a photo shoot of Air Force One over Manhattan, an event which involved the low flight of a large jet plane with two F-16s in pursuit over Ground Zero and points nearby. Because the public wasn't told, many feared another 9/11 attack was in progress. Indeed, an FAA memo prior to the flight warned of "the possibility of public concern regarding DoD aircraft flying at low altitudes." To which Obama responded, "It, uh, was, uh, a mistake. It, uh, will never, uh, happen again." The Air Force reported that the flight of the VC-25 (customized Boeing 747) and its two attendant F-16s cost $328,835. However, the actual cost associated with the operation of VC-25 alone, when considering all support and planning for this photo folly, was closer to $775,000 (and who knows how many Al Gore carbon credits had to be purchased to offset this operation). On the other hand, the one-time purchase of Adobe Photoshop costs around $600. In January, Obama chastised private sector executives for using corporate jets to commute, most of which cost $3-$5 thousand per hour to operate. The plane we taxpayers fund for Obama costs $260,000 per hour to operate, and Monday, it was cruising around without him. Day 98: Obama's EPA administrator, Lisa Jackson, in an NPR interview about Obama's Orwellian cap-and-tax policy, remarked, "The president has said, and I couldn't agree more, that what this country needs is one single national roadmap that tells automakers, who are trying to become solvent again, what kind of car it is that they need to be designing and building for the American people." The interviewer asks, "Is that the role of the government? That doesn't sound like free enterprise." Jackson, obviously in need of her ObamaPrompter, replied, "Well, it, it, it is free enterprise in a way. Um, ah, you know, first and foremost, the free enterprise system has us where we are right this second. And so some would argue that the government has a much larger role to play then we might've when Henry Ford rolled the first cars off the assembly line." Some might argue that "we are where we are" because government has played "a much larger role since Henry Ford rolled the first cars off the assembly line." Day 99: After the media fanned the flames about a "swine flu pandemic," Obama warned, "This is obviously a serious situation, serious enough to take the utmost precautions." He then promptly applied his "Rule 1" and asked Congress for $1.5 billion in emergency funding. Day 100: The Obamaprompter addressed the nation yesterday, and not only did he claim, "We inherited a $1.3 trillion deficit. That wasn't me," but once again trotted this one out: "[My recovery act] has already saved or created over 150,000 jobs." We checked, and Congress sets budgets, the Democrats have controlled the Senate and House for the last two years (which coincides with the housing and financial market collapses) and Obama was in the Senate for two of those years. â?¨As for jobs, I am sure that Obama has "saved" all our jobs! Hail Obama! Let's us all bow down to "The One." House Minority Leader John Boehner correctly surmises, "The president's first 100 days can be summed up in three words: spending, taxing, and borrowing." Suffice it to say, the list is as long as it is absurd, and you can bask in a litany of examples we've compiled for your reading displeasure at "The First Hundred Days." As for "peaceful revolutions," John F. Kennedy declared in 1962, "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable." I would argue this case: "Those who undermine our republican rule of law make violent revolution inevitable." To that end, there is some good news on the "checks and balances" front, though some may find this a bit disconcerting. There are now more than 65 million gun-owning Patriots across this nation, many of whom have taken sacred oaths "to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic." We stand ready to honor that oath, understanding that, in the words of John Adams, "A Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever." And the ranks of Patriots are growing. In the last three months of 2008, Americans bought enough guns to arm the national armies of both China and India -- a total of 12.7 million guns last year. Gun sales in the first three months of 2009 were 27 percent higher year-over-year than the first three months of 2008 (which also recorded record sales). Perhaps all these gun purchases are coincidental, not consequential. But I doubt it. As Americans begin to awaken to the reality of Obama's Socialist agenda, it will be interesting to see how his next 1,361 days unfold. At the close of the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, Benjamin Franklin was asked if the delegates had formed a republic or a monarchy. "A republic," he responded, "if you can keep it." We will see.

OK, I actually made contact with someone from Georgia Arms and they confirmed the information above. But, here is the good news... they have recently started buying some brass from DOD again. They said that the pressure and outcry from the people that were upset by this situation caused a reversal in policy. It is possible to make a difference! But, don't be fooled, the goal and plans of the left are still moving forward. Expect to see taxes and limitations on ammunition in the future. |

| ACLU is Victorious in Court Case! Surprise! Surprise! The ACLU filed a lawsuit back in 2003 in an attempt to make public, US Military, and Federal Government photographs of people being "mistreated" or in dire situations during the war in Iraq. This is what amounts to hundreds or maybe thousands of photos of raw war photos. The Federal Government had a solid case not to disclose this information, and could have easily taken this to the Supreme Court and won. But NO, a lower Federal Court Judge handed the ACLU what they wanted. The Obama Justice Department did nothing to persue the case and let the ACLU have it. In fact, the Obama Administration has released some of these photos themselves, before the court verdict was handed down.This is all paert of the attempt to destroy the Republican party by continually attacking the Bush Administration. Releasing this information, just like the release of all the CIA documentation of interegation techniques will strengthen our enemies and make this country weaker and more vulnerable. Now, there is more noise about prosecuting Bush Administration people. The sounds just like the Banana Republic tactics of persecuting and jailing the (enemy) outgoing administration. There are so many things going on so fast. It is like the Obama people never sleep. They are on the fast track to CHANGE this Country into something different. And, it won't be the good Ol' US of A. Everything is a crisis, and they have the (expensive) answer. Oh. while we are at it, let's go ahead and let the Taliban have a Nuke! Pakistan surely has a couple to spare! I have researched this from several different angles, short only of calling and talking directly to someone in management at Georgia Arms. It sure seems to be legitimate. This is the start of what we were afraid of! Georgia Arms is the 5th largest retailer of .223 Ammo in America. (They sell 9 mm, .45, etc ammo) They normally buy spent brass from the US Dept of Defense - 'one time used' shell casings by our Military - from training on Military bases, etc. They buy the brass and then re-load for resale to Law Enforcement, Gun Shops, Gun Clubs, Wal-Mart, and etc. They normally buy 30,000 lbs of spent brass at a time. This week the DoD wrote a letter to the owner of Georgia Arms and said that from now on the DoD will be destroying the brass - shredding it. It is no longer available to the Ammo makers - unless they just buy it in a scrap shredded condition (which they have no use for). The shredded brass is NOW going to be sold by the DoD to China as scrap metal....after the DoD pays for it to be shredded. The DoD is selling the brass to China for less money than Ammo manufacturers have been paying...plus the DoD has to pay to have the brass shredded and do all the accounting paperwork. That sure helps the US economy now, doesn't it? Sell cheaper to China - and do not sell shells at all to a proven US business. Any agenda working here???? Obama going after our ammunition!!!!! The Georgia Arms owner even related a story that one of his competitors had already purchased a load of brass last week - and the DoD contacted him this week and said they were sending someone over to make sure it was destroyed. Shell Casings he had already bought! THE BRASS HAS NO VALUE TO THE AMMO MAKER IF IT IS DESTROYED, SHREDDED, OR MELTED. THE AMMO MANUFACTURER ONLY USES THE EMPTY BRASS SHELLS TO RELOAD DIFFERENT CALIBERS - MAINLY .223 BULLETS. Georgia Arms owner says that he will have to lay off at least Half of his 60 workers, within 2 - 3 months if the DoD no longer sells their spent brass to him. He has 2 - 3 months inventory of shells to use. By summer - he's out. If he has to buy new manufactured brass shells, then the cost of ammunitioin to the buyer will double and triple...plus Obama wants to add a 500% tax on each shell. I, like many Americans are proud that no US crewmembers aboard the Maersk Alabama were killed. But what should we do about these Pirates? Before a resolution had been found, I asked our newly elected Congressman Bobby Bright what he thought should be done about this situation. He said "they" had talked about that previously and had decided that if the ship was conducting trade for a "private" US enterprise, they should have to provide their own security. I tried to follow that answer with another question, but the Congressman's schedule man kept yelling at the Congressman, telling him they had to move on. I did not challenge this guy, as not to get my name on Ms. Napolitano's list. I would have liked to follow with a question asking him what he thought our armed forces were supposed to defend. It seems to me that American Companies' access to free trade and safety from PIRATES would fall under the catagory of "hey, we need one of those guided missles into that boat load of thugs over there." Besides, there are some extreme limitations put on private ships traveling International waters, armed. Our new Congressman is on the Armed Services Committee in the Obama / Pelosi controlled House. He knows what their plan is..... It seems appearant that they are trying take our Great Nation to a warm, fuzzy place where we are no longer a Super Power and can make nice with all the regular kids on the block. This does not work, will not work and only means a more dangerous future for all Americans.

If you are a member of an active conservative group that opposes abortion, favors strict immigration enforcement, lobbies to protect Second Amendment rights, protests big government, advocates federalism or represents veterans who believe in any of the above, the answer is: YOU! ahh yes it seems that the country might just be waking up....... maybee. the recent tea parties have made a definate impact on the powers that be that dont like us to think as individuals. the funny thing was i had a 82 year old co-worker ask me what tea-bagging was because he heard it on cnn.... lmao i actually had to give him the visual ot fully explain it.it kinda made me feel bad to do it but thinking back that must have been the funniest thing ive tried to do not joking. the standard media is up in arms and scared! free thinking people are actually talking to each other and not just listening to the talking heads. more people are no longer star struck at our carsalesman and chief! tea parties lol, its so ingenious that im just dumbfounded! the far left/socialists are so offended at it just like the english and the loyalists in 1773. there is now an open attack on out rights and constitution by our own govmnt and our neighbors to the south ( along with the entire UN). hmm by the way un is un kinda like un-american. i am not a dissident nor a anarchist ,i am a vet. and very concerned with the fact that what we faught for is in dire straights.we are on the short path to the soviet union of the early 1900s. we see how well that worked out! ttfn

| Wow, it is ironic that you use the term "car salesman" , Mr. Bandit. I recall the first time I saw Bill Clinton giving a speach that was shown on television. I did not have a clue who the Governor of Arkasas was at the time, but I remember saying to my wife, "man, that guy is good! But surely the majority of people will see through that bull(*%@!" I was quite stunned when he was elected. I tought after four years, surely people will understand what they got... there is no way he will be re-elected. That is when the realization hit me, that most people can be easily fooled by packageing, a shiney wrapper, and a slick "pitch". I guess most people are somewhat lazy by nature and do not want to invest the time or energy to find out real facts and backgrounds of political candidates. Apathy is a dangerous thing when it controls the majority. Our President Obama is possibly smoother, slicker, and a better orator tha President Clinton was. However, I fear he is much more dangerous. He has done so much, so fast that it will take some time before the whole truth surfaces. As soon as we suffer a terrorist attack, the main stream media should (maybe) end the honeymoon and start reporting the facts about what has taken place. |

awe come now weasel dont you remember that we just cling to our guns and religon. we are just a bunch of paraniod gun freaks. the stage has been set and all the crazies the past month are giving the anti-gun zeolots all the ammo they could wish to get to sway the middle of the roaders to their side. its going to get much worse before it can ever get better. i believe that we will be attacked and soon. where is the better question. its gonna be a long 4 years with the carsalesman at the helm. ttfn |

| I have not been keeping close tabs on our President and his staff lately, but with only one eye open, it is quite evident that he is selling or trading our country’s sovereignty as he makes his apology tour through Europe. France and Germany have agreed to do nothing more to help in Afghanistan or the fight against radical Islam. Even England has taken all history out of their school books pertaining to the Holocaust, so as not to offend the Muslim community in their country. Capitulation and apologies for Our Country being arrogant and mean in the past, is the order of the day it seems. We will surely see terror strike our soil again soon, due to this. Let’s make nice with Turkey and skip on over and bow to the Saudi king, and assure everyone that we are not at war with Islam. All the while Secretary of State Clinton is chatting with the little nut job in Iran to try and get him to be nice. Maybe she can give him some of our classified missile technology in exchange for his cooperation and a donation to the President Bill Clinton Library. North Korea has a rocket for sale! The professional money manipulator and tax-cheat is back home trying to figure out how to take more of our money, leverage our country for more credit, or just print more of it. Oh, and don’t forget our Attorney General, Eric Holder, has the sharpest minds he can surround himself with trying to figure out how to put as many limitations on firearms as he can. After all, it was our guns causing all the death and destruction in Mexico. We need to supply the drug cartels in Mexico with paint ball and air soft guns so they can nicely settle their disputes over the best routes to smuggle cocaine, pot, heroin, and people across our borders. Our current administration does not seem to have to backbone and ability to engage in foreign policy that will lead to our security. I fear that Israel will take the first strike at neutralizing Iran as a nuclear threat out of self defense. Israel knows that if Iran can get a nuclear device, it will soon find its way to them. If Israel strikes Iran in a big way, what will that mean to the rest of the world? Do you feel safe? Do you feel financially secure? After all, the Holocaust never happened… so it could never happen again, right? If we just print bails of money and leverage our future production as a country and give it around the world, wouldn’t that weaken the mean ol’ US of A enough to put everyone on a level playing field? If there is no more super-power (bully), wouldn’t everyone play nice? I learned as a child that giving my lunch money to the bully did not solve the problem. Back then the solution was called a knuckle sandwich. Or, Peace Through Superior Firepower. That is what has kept this country safe for decades. President Obama is pulling Uncle Sam’s teeth and handing them to our adversaries as they laugh and gladly take them. Any bets on where we are attacked first? |

dont know if anyone remembers back as the wars in iraq & afghanistan were beginning . it was either osama bin laden or one of his chief lieutenants made the statement that alquida knew it could not beat the u.s. militarily but it could defeat the u.s. in a indirect manner (financially ) as they said thru our wallets , not neccesarily implying compliance but didnt our newly elected icon hail from somalia , a known alquida hot bed how are we to know whether or not our newest edition is not helping alquida in their claim of disfame. but ive heard more than once that we the people are spending at least 1 million dollars a day on just one of these bail out schemes and we have only just begun . and claiming to reduce taxes , come on everyone knows that a dem. is a spendaholic in a suit ,i frankly didnt have a problem with the rep. they did ok a war is not a good thing but it kept terrorist from kicking us on the heals , lets wait to see what happens when we tuck tails and in a sense run , i cant believe the people of the u.s. have forgotten 9-11 and in a way they have, the political field is full of per say immigrants it didnt used to be that way , what happewned to the made in america slogan !do we even care anymore , i hope we wont have an eye oppening experience it could be historically nasty , |

| I agree Weasel,its unbelievable.As far as I am concerned,this is a Clinton administration.Obamas cabinet is mostly people that served under Clinton.I truly believe that not one senate or house member read the stimulas bill,they only saw what they wated too see.On cnn,the headline was.."The top 25 people that caused this financial crisis...It was all the big banks that wanted bailouts from bad loans,and wall street.Alot of this crisis in the artical,was scare tactics.Even if a company is doing ok,they will lay off workers,to save money,and it goes to the next,then the next ect ect ect.Greed is the cause of all this,and 25 companies made this happen.I am angry too Weasel............. |

| Well, we should all be stimulated now! President Obama just signed one of the largest Pork Bills ever! This is the largest fraud ever perpetrated against the American people. Well, maybe the Social Security System comes close. Our childrens children will not be able to pay for it. The social engineering contained in this bill will cause changes most have no clue about. With one stroke of Mr. Obama's pen, the Clinton Welfare Reform is no more. This is just the start of things to come! Most of our elected officials won't admit that they even know everything that is in the bill they voted for. But, they do. We have been sold out and thrown under the bus. The politicians are drunk with the drug of our money. They are busy now spending money that has not even been printed yet. |

| As a gift for my birthday, I received a t-shirt showing Uncle Sam looking stern, pointing his finger, with a caption undernethe that stated " Clinging to My Guns and Religeon." I guess my friends and family know my outlook on things. I do not feel like we are alone. But it is scarey to see the majority of the population being swayed by the propaganda served up by the main-stream media everyday. If the Liberal Democrats can push through some sort of amnesty bill for the people who are in the country illegally , and attatch some sort of "stimulus" check for each one of these new citizens, they will have a new voter base of 10 - 16 million people, bought and paid for, on our childrens promise to pay. I look for it to be coming. Yes, Mr. Bandit, I must admit, I have made sure that everything I own with the capability of stopping a pick-up truck full of weasels or bandits at the end of my driveway is well fed. Ammunition is becoming more expensive everyday! I am continually looking for a bargain while maintaining function and performance . I am unsure if my children and their children will enjoy shooting sports and right to defend themselves as I and my forefathers have. The attack on the Second Amendment is coming. Just wait until Mr. Obama has the opportunity to appoint a couple Supreme Court Justices and slides in a couple more whacko, lefty, nut-jobs like Ruth Bater-Ginsberg, (Thank you Bill Clinton)....Our country will change rapidly. We live in scarey times indeed! One thing is certain, Mr. Bandit, we must stand together and expose the fraudulent schemes being purpetrated against the American People. I am with you. |

weasel i couldnt have said it better myself. although i love a good debate ,( and somtimes scrap ) you hit the nail on the head. i myself am personaly clinging to my gun and religon ( and buying as much ammo as i can with my mad money budget ) because we have only seenthe start of whats to come. the cry babies said for to long" bush has stolen our civil liberties and our privacy" what they fail to see is that bush insured our biggest liberty of them all. the right to defend ourselves from oppression and the scum of society. THE RIGHT TO BARE ARMS. i realize its not top of the news or agenda right now but you can be assured that its coming with the cabnet hes chosen. i forget who imquoting but its sotrue " an armed populace are citizens and an unarmed populace are subjects" . we as a people are in for a world of hurt and the current pres is going to do nothing but blame bush even though when the rep. tried to do somthing about whats happening now 2 years ago the dem. controlled congress and senate shot it down. my biggest fear is that the same majority that voted the rookie in is gonna buy into his b.s. ttfn

Appointed as CIA Director: Leon Panetta; he was Chief of Staff in the CLINTON ADMINISTRATION. This lefty is the last person that should head our CIA. Appointed Attorney General; Eric Holder. This guy was the Deputy Attorney General under Janet Reno in the CLINTON ADMINISTRATION, and was responsible for pushing through the pardons for the FLN Terrorists, among others. Robert Reich; Mr.Obama's Ecomony Guru was Labor Secretary in the CLINTON ADMINISTRATION. This guy is a socialist through and through. Carol Browner, Mr. Obama's global warming expert was the head of EPA in the CLINTON ADMINISTRATION. Susan Rice; appointed to the UN was Assistant Secretary of State in the CLINTON ADMINISTRATION. And then there's Mr Obama's pick for Secretary of State: Hillary Clinton; she was not officially part of the CLINTON ADMINISTRATION, but you get the picture. If the uneducated and apethetic population outnumber the people who seek the truth and honesty in government, this "A" team of liberal elitists will bring this country to its knees. ahhhhhhh its good to back. im sure i was missed by everyone . the change people here are talking about, well lets see didnt they elect for the so called change you speak of? i mean the rockstar was elected because hes gonna change everything right? he was elected on his values and clearly outlined plans to fix things wasnt he? he couldnt be just another silver tounged politician could he ? personally i could care less if most of these people have to live in a tent. they bought a house they couldnt afford ( or multiple houses looking to turn a quick buck). guess what its a contract! read the fine print. nobody with a balloning interest rate should have been shocked when it went up, they signed the papers. now they want me to bail there butts out so they dont lose their house! well kiss my grits flo , it shouldnt happen. lose your house and fail, thats the american way. folks must take personal resposibilty for there own mistakes and shortcomings. if you cant pay your bills then you lose your stuff. my taxes are high enough as they are , why am i paying to bail out a loan company? they provide no large scale jobs like the auto industry( ill get to those guys in a sec). they are a money lender thats it. when one fails theres 20 smarter smaller ones to take its place. but no fear uncle sugar is gonna reach as far into my and your pocket as it takes to make sure that everyone wins. its like my kids tee ball leauge that didnt keep score. what the heck is that???? some one has to lose. thats what makes people stronger and want to do better. we are turning into a country of criebabies. as for the auto fat cats they had there wake up call but they are at least part of our g.n.p and can export that if they would get with the program and stop producing over priced beer cans that only run good until the warrenty expires. hmmmm 5 yrs or 50k miles, sounds like they knew they were selling crap. its only gonna get worse the people will realize they elected just another politician who is clueless and that is a socialist ( thats a first). i just hope that people wake up and quit coddling the weak and the stupid. ttfn |

Our taxes are going to go up when is the question. For the moment we are safe from federal taxing BUT state and local govt are raising taxes which is squeezing more out of people and causing more tightening of the belt and cuts in jobs. I disagree with bailing out the banks and auto industry as it is proposed. I think the banks need to go to their customers and work out a way to keep people in their homes. It isn't like we didn't know that prices were over inflated and would stabilize. Banks should take cuts from what they loaned and keep people in the homes they bought. The banks are selling homes for as low as 1,000.00. My son recently bought one for 6,000.00. That notion hurts ALL of us and the point in an economy is to keep money circulating. I think the govt should offer rewards to banks who keep people in their homes. Perhaps refinancing homes facing foreclosure at the current appraisals and raising interest by 1 or 2 %. It won't recover the cost but it will bring in more than 1,000.00 and keep the tax payers from paying the rest of it. As for the auto industry I feel no compassion for them as they have known since the Clinton era that vehicles with better fuel was the focus and goal and they too, acted like fools, seeking money to wipe their butts with. The rich and stupid rich, in this country, are responsible for this mess too with the way they manipulated the stock markets. I am of the impression that the middle class, which dominates, was ignored, forgotten, overlooked or simply neglected. When the markets started to tremble the middle classes weren't getting burned like we were when the market crashed after 9/11. The middle classes pulled out and went to more secure investing and our incomes combined is stronger than those of the rich and stupid rich. Politicians still neglect the middle class and are now looking to buffer the rich... It isn't going to work. The working class needs to be tended to and no longer neglected. Invest a few trillion into the lower classes, put as many as possible back into their homes and keep as many as possible there. Let the rich and stupid rich invest into this country as they have taken more than their share from it. Invest money into businesses that offer larger job bases, void the banks auto industry, who have proven they will abuse the money. Let them start taking responsibility for their greed and encourage them to do so! Let the govt regulate fuel and energy costs. This is going to get worse before it gets better but with the stock market showing promise, things will improve over time. The market shows that money is being circulated.... We haven't placed our money back into the market and we won't until things stabilize more... Many others are doing the same. The rich and stupid rich can't keep the market going and they have been shown this... ALL govt needs to focus on the working class and fix the problems there. With the economy in a meltdown it means the rich want to recover money and more of the working class will be seeking money from the govt as they become unemployed and in need of food and shelter... Once again the middle classes are forced to carry the burden and go neglected. |

| I don't think that a politician can have a balanced budget, it is past their mentality. And I think that there is plenty of fat that could be trimmed. But, right now, we need a big change. We should start with our welfare system. At least 50% of the people on welfare could be working. We also should remove the free benifits that our politicians enjoy, like their retirement. |

Giving more money to the people that have spent us into the financial mess that we seem to be in would be similar to opening another credit card account for your teenage daughter to go shopping for shoes after she has already gone over the credit limit on her first five credit cards you gave her. What about if the government were to do more with less? Every business that operates in this country has to pay back what it borrows. Every citizen has to pay his light bill or sit in the dark. We all have to balance our budgets in our personal and professional endevors. Oh, wait a minute, I almost forgot...We are going to try socialism for a while. So, where do I get in line to sign up for my stipend until I find out which government "project" I am hired to work on. |

| How do you pay the National Debt? Well, who exactly creates the "National Debt?" It is not me. I can only create personal debt for myself. I can only burden myself with an amount of debt that I can handle, or I risk going bankrupt. I can't eliminate my debt by borrowing more. I do not have a magic money tree, or the ability to simply print more money. I must reduce my spending, and pay real service to my debt to improve my personal financial condition. If I am a prudent person, I try to operate with as little debt as possible. Is this not common sense?!? What is the difference with the "National Debt?" The difference is that the people that are creating the National Debt are the crooked politicians that collect our taxes. They do not want your wheaties... But, hey, President Obama has found a professional tax evader to become his new Treasury Secretary. If our Congress lets this appointment pass, we are spiraling downward indeed! |

| I can not quite figure out how we are suspose to spend our way out of debt either myself. All I see coming out of it is the rapid devaiuation of our dollar over the next few years as it becomes worthless due to our rather large and growing national debt. Al I can say is buckle up cause we are in for one hell of a ride |

A TRILLION dollars... It could be as much as a trillion more dollars of debt created by our new presidents "stimulus package", as he outlined in his recent speech. George Bush took the path of least resistance and threw a whole bunch of money at a problem. It did not fix anything, only created a long line of people wanting the same handout. What caused the econimic situation that is labeled a crisis? Will printing more money, creating more debt, and growing government solve anything? Are there any economists here? |
