Also I along with several others was in the court room when W,O admitted to NOT listening to the tapes, He also thought is was funny because he laughed while admitting to it!!. | WELL IF THE PEOPLE OF DALE CTY. HAS TO PAY FOR THE -MISTAKES- W.O. & ADAMS MAKE. AT LEAST EVEN THE VOTERS THAT PUT THEM IN OFFICE WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR EXPERIENCE AT THE SAME TIME , MAYBE BRYANT SHOULD HAVE STAYED IN OFFICE FOR A TOTAL OF 40 YRS. THEN THIS MIGHT NOT HAVE HAPPENED , BUT HE DIDNT , THIS HAPPENED SO LETS LIVE WITH IT 2 MORE YRS. The only ones that seemed to know was Finer,Williams,and the undercover man...This was all news to our Sheriff and the D.A.To this day I cant understand why Dale county wasnt told... | | |

| CMOM, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A SIMILAR SITUATION ABOUT THE DISPATCHER CALLING AHEAD OF POLICE OFFICERS, AND SHE ULTIMATELY LOST HER JOB , -CONTINUE- YOU DONT LET INFORMATION OUT TOO ALL THAT ARE FAMILIAR TO THE INVOLVED -RESULT WOULD HAVE BEEN A TIP OFF AND OF COURSE A BOTCHED INVESTIGATION . NO MATTER , THE BOGGLE WAS APPARENTLY OUR FORCE OF ?????????????? ... IF THEY HAD SIMPLY GOTTEN INVOLVED WITH EVIDENCE AT HAND AND THEN MOVED FORWARD THINGS MAY HAVE TURNED OUT DIFFERENTLY ..... THAT IS IF THERE WAS ACTUAL CRIMINAL INTENT ... PERHAPS IN THE FUTURE IF AN INVESTIGATION CROSSES INTO ANOTHER CTY. .. Very Good Question, especially considering that both the Susposed Victom and the Men arrested live in Dale County, not Geneva County (where Hartford is). One wonders why the Chief of Hartford was even in it since it was all dealing with people in the next county over. Furthur I wonder why he kept it to himself if these judges were in danger? My personal opinion - Nick Finer knew he did not have the evidence needed to approach the D.A. (Kirk is the D.A. over Dale and Geneva counties). He only blurted out his investigation because he misunderstood the question being asked to him in court. At that point the cat was out of the bag and instead of admitting the evidence was shady he let it continue.
Either way It will wind up costing the tax payers of Dale County and the City of Hartford for the Mistakes made here. I really do not like my tax money wasted like this. I just fail to see how Wally can be blamed in any of this. | | |

| Dale County Commission denies $2 million claim

OZARK - Six minutes after an executive session, Dale County commissioners voted unanimously Monday to deny a $2 million claim filed by two Pinckard men.
County attorney Henry Steagall said a federal lawsuit against the county had already been filed on behalf of Fred and Garret Daniels.
The lawsuit was not immediately available, but co-defendants in a draft lawsuit filed with the claim to the county last month were Hartford Police Chief Nick Finer, the City of Hartford, Dale County Sheriff Wally Olson, and attorney Buddy Williams.
The draft lawsuit alleged the Daniels endured libel, defamation and false arrest before charges were dismissed against them for conspiracy to commit murder and assault earlier this year.
According to the draft, Williams made allegations on Jan. 30 that the Daniels had contracted with a hit man to kill and assault four individuals.
It also alleged Finer pursued an investigation against the Daniels “without probable cause and without consent,” and that Olson detained the men in the same manner and stated allegations as “facts.”
The draft lawsuit asked for at least $10 million in compensatory damages and demanded the trial be heard by a jury.
