I will however see if I can try to explain this to you. As someone who has witnessed public executions to include both hanging and beheadings I would like for you to understand just what you are asking for. Everytime you witness something like that it makes you numb, and takes a part of your soul. So much sometimes you can feel almost animalistic. When you start being numb to it you get lost in a place you may never come back from. Some have some haven't. It's taken me quite some time, but I will say this. I don't think the average person in this country needs to be subjected to that. So your right this is a sore spot with me. | |

| well well well.... It seems we have a new contender for the biggest offender on this here board. Well I guess it's time for me to step in and do what I do so well. You see the death penalty is necessary because there are some people out there that just can't be helped. And I don't think it should take forever to put them in the chair. And as far as their discomfort while being executed I could really give a rats a$$ less. They killed another human being with no regard for how they felt about the issue. So you know what?? Put them in the chair and hit the switch then ask their smoking corpse if it hurt. I'm sure the response you get will answer all questions. lbrty don't let bandit get to you he's probably some old fart who's trying to feel his importance by belittling every one else around here. Kinda reminds me of someone else on here....( cough venus cough) Sorry about that the pollen is killing my sinuses. Anyway when it comes to stirring the s$#t I'll take the spoon. Bandit there are people in this world who have seen real combat and REAL death right in front of them and believe me the smell of burning flesh is one you never forget. It sucks to watch another person die right in front of you and not be able to do anything to stop it. So anyway I will step off my soapbox and leave it alone for now. Just remember that an education does not always translate to intelligence most of the "educated" people I've ran into in my life share the same problem. They are educated FAR beyond their intelligence. Seems to run rampant on this board. OH yea and one more thing HOORAH!!!!!!!!!!

| | No I don't believe in public hangings or anything of the sort. One major thing that would curb allot of crime is if people would quit being victims and learn how to take care of themselves. This whole re-evaluating of the second amendment really burns me. What do people think the police will protect them?? Well yes they will but they can only do so much. You dial 911 and they come as quick as they can but if their on the other side of town and it's gonna take a minute and when they get there they might be too late. It's happened before. Ask the guy who watched his whole family get hacked to bits by a madman with a hatchet while waiting on police, how he feels about not having a gun in his house now. And as far as the other comment cmom I just call em like I see em. Not an intelligence issue it's more of a issue of being childish and making personal attacks. | | |

| | "C" mom once again you are so wrong. let me count the ways. the fact is , that you are so clueless about the military i ant even put on a good rant. a few good men was there moto back in the 80's . right now there bigest advertisement is " the few , the proud, the marines". by your lack of knowledge i can tell youve never worn the uniform and know nothing of anybranch of service unless youve seen it in a movie.as far as the ones that make it to sign up there again you have no clue. you should stick to baking pies. anyone that makes a 40 or higher on there asvab and have no serious health problems can get in. the marines always need riflemen. so again before you jump on the bandwagon you need to have a little clue. as far as training you have no opinion because you were never there. you never ran the first mile or did the first pushup or even care enough to put on the uniform as far as bieng angry , you folks cant get me angry, although you can cause me irritation by your ignorance. but thats what makes this country great. as far as social graces i have plenty of them when need be . but as far as your concerned you can kiss my @$$. you have no idea of what you speak your just a little do-girl that thought it would be a good idea to oopen her mouth when she saw her little forum mafia attack someone. your weak and scared so i say good day to you. | | |

| | ibrt. one thing you should realize is your not the onlyone that have seen these things. your right some of us it has taken a long time to come back. some of us were able to put our personal feelings aside and see what effect it had on the population. as far s losing my soul i never did but did i feel pity for the person on the gallow. maybee a little until i found out there crime. do i think my children should see ,this no i don't. do i expect you to see my way of thinking? i never try to convince anyone to think the way i do. i just started and important topic and obviously have gotten alot of people to think about their postion on the topic. but to satisfy some questions about my background , i am a disabled vet although i like to call it a limp and i currently work for the army. but i am no old fart lol. im in my prime.ib we have enough drama queens on here that have no idea of the sacrifice vets have made. i didnt start this forum for it to be a pissing contest on military branches nor did i start it for personal attacks. weve both been guilty of one or the other. true im very much enjoying the banter because it gets people thinking. but ive tried to put the personal attacks in the past. like many i hate ignorance but also like many if provoked i will retaliate with the same. do i like getting people stirred up? to an extent i do. as long as it makes for a god spirited debate or even argument. i will not stand for someone attacking someone i know ir myself , just like most folks. like me or hate me , dont judge who you dont know or why there doing what there doing . extremes always brings a subject back into the spotlight. | | |
