| amt- I think that you jump to conclusions-people are just tired of reading the bashing that you do. The way that I read your forum you have it out for Wally and the DCSO-we are tired of reading it. You down grade certain members of the DCSO to the point of hatred. You harp that you could do things different-your rantings show different. |

DD, It might be beneficial for you to go to DCSO and talk to Wally about your concerns, man to man. He can serve you better than we could. If you are sincerely concerned and looking for a solution then your best option is to talk to the sheriff.... Of course, if you want to bash the DCSO then you won't do anything else but post here and it does little to show your problem solving capabilities.... |

David i really don't have a problem with what you say. i'm sure that you believe what you say about wally. for all i know you may be privy to info that i am not. i can only make judgement on interactions i've had with DCSO.
i DO have a problem with censored speech b/c i believe its in real danger in this country. however i feel the name calling should be put to rest. its childish and only shows a lack of adequate vocabulary on the part of the speaker/writer. since i have been guilty of this myself i feel qualified to say that.

DD, you say you believe what you told the sheriff went into one ear and out the other.... I have to wonder why you would think this way. I believe the sheriff would listen and consider what you have to say but he isn't required to do things your way or my way or anyone's way. It doesn't make him wrong or bad nor does it mean he isn't doing his job. He isn't doing his job the way you want him to do it but that doesn't mean he isn't doing his job or that he is doing a bad job. Maybe you should sit down with him, at the waffle king or your shop, and tell him you believe he isn't listening to you and listen to him too.
We aren't the cause of your issues with Olson as we feel we can talk to him and he will listen, Myron Williams will too but neither is going to go against their better judgement no matter how much we disagree. There was and still is a rift between the sheriff's office and OPD when Olson took office and there was and still is a rift between OPD and the people when Williams took office. Olson has worked hard to bridge the gap between OPD and DCSO and Williams has worked hard to bridge the gap between the department and the people. One of the biggest things helping all sides here is the willingness of Olson and Williams to work together and I feel Kirke Adams is the conduit, so to speak. If you believe this horse is a dead one then stop kicking it because we can't help you only you can do your best to find a solution and if you believe you haven't found one but have tried then you have done all you can do. Taking this out on us isn't a remedy.
If you wouldn't mind would you type out a list of concerns and post them or message them to me and I will talk to Olson about them and I don't have a problem telling him he isn't listening and I will tell you what he said about your concerns I will post them or message them back to you for you to post whatever you think is best to do. I have never met Olson but I have talked to him in the past and I don't have a problem talking to him now.... It would be a pleasure to help find closure or a resolution to this matter and I am willing to do what I can if you will allow me to. |

ok dad, they are being nice and it seems they may actually be trying to understand where you are coming from. i think it is very generous of vft to offer a little help in your direction. if you dont want to go to wally again, i think you should type out your concerns and let vft send it to him. hope you are having a better day and i love you xoxoxo.

| Speaking of retirement-why don't we just retire this subject. You seem as if you have an inside line with the some of the deputies or is it just your thinking? If they are unhappy I would think that they would go and see their boss -The Sheriff. In my work if there is a problem we go and see the person in charge. Last night we were coming from Dothan-there were 2 cars pulled over and they were DCSO cars-they were doing their job! While the rest of us go about our way these individuals put their life on the line. dd you do not have any concept of what is required of these individuals. As for letting them do personal activities while on duty-do you stake out somewhere and just watch for them? In my book that is called STALKING!!!!!!!!!! and that is against the law. I have come to the conclusion that if you are so unhappy with DCSO why don't you leave? You might stand a better chance of getting elected for whatever position that you want. |

| wondering 19 of your 22 posts on here is only to try to incite dd into a fight or to keep him going on a rant as i like to call it. some people would call your term stalking a little extreme. some would see it as a one man watchdog group . the reason being is that he observes these fine men and women while there on DUTY. now if they were followed home and had someone waiting in there bushes then i would call that stalking. it seems more likely to me that he doesnt have to follow these folks around since hes always having to go around the county for his buisness. and why should he leave the county? he pays his taxes and provides a very vauluable service at a good rate the the people in this area. he actually provides a service to the people. but you could always just ignore his thread that he started. he pays his campaign dues and runs for office. if you dont like his views then you have every right to disagree. in fact you could donate to walleys next run for office. heck you could even start your own thread to sing his praises. there are several like minded people that would maybe welcome that . if none of those seem like better options to you then just suck it up because you should know just as well as the rest of us dd is going to have his voice heard. its your decision as to whether or not you want to pay attention. in short just quit whining. ttfn |
