lets talk about something new like all the BS ordinances Bob Bunting and the Ozark city counicl have adopted. Please lets fire the current city council on election day.

well I don't have all the facts together yet, but I will try to gather them for you. Since he's been in office Ole Bob has managed to pass a couple of ordinaces that are basically this. If you own a boat or rv in the city limits it can only be stored in your back yard under a carport or covered enclosure. The kicker to this is he also passed a law that to install a carport you have to have a build permit, and it has to be behind your home. Also lets not forget about the fact he and the city council decided to raise taxes, and by the way these ordinances dont apply to him since he doesn't live inside the city limits. Let me also add I do like Winston Jackson, but I understand he wont be running for re election. Shall we ask Mr. outlaw about the land he bought before the airport project was approved?

The carport is to make sure it is secured,the permit is so the inspector can make sure of that.There are over 6,000 ordinances here in Ozark,thats been here for years,Bob Bunting is the only one that enforces them.If not for him,I would have nevwer known.Sience I do know,and have for a few years,our neighborhood has improved so much its unbelievable,thanks also to the building inspectors,they are good.Bob Bunting is a good man,and a good mayor..A rundown place has to be reported first too the building inspecter,then he takes action.I hope whomever gets mayor next time is as good as Mr Bunting..Yes Taxes were raised,along with every county in Ala..I am glad we have all the ordinaces.Itsa cleaned up Ozark alot..

I don't car how you spin it cmom I still don't think its right. I guess you think he was right about closing down eastgate school and sending all the kids to the aging da smith school too. What about our empty industrial park? What about willow oaks? You want to see an eyesore? Go take a look around over there. My boat in my back yard doesn't bother anyone, and how in the hell is a metal carport going to secure a boat that is 24 ft and 16 ft tall? Oh yeah and not to mention he decreased city services around the same time he raised taxes. So now the city is getting more for doing less.

First off he didnt close eastgate.The school super.wanted it closed.The industrial park has already got someone moving in.As for your boat,well,I dont know.I dont.Go to the council meeting,give them your attention,thats what they are there for.Maybe if enough,there can be something done.Alot of cities are doing this,Enterprise,Dothan to name a few.No matter who becomes mayor,there will always be people not satisfied,and thats ok.I am not afraid to go too the mayors office and say my peace.He will listen.The council votes on everything,call the mayors office and ask when the next meeting is,and get on the agenda,you have too let them know ahead of time if you wish to speak...I too hated to see Eastgate close.The school super.wanted this,and he got it.,

No wondering --it didn't make much sense to me either.  I thought it would make more sense if I read it again. It didn't!  Thought it might make more sense when I read your post but it didn't.  Reminds me again of why I try to avoid this topic.  Curiousity always gets to me--seems like I would learn!!!!!!
